Room was plenty big enough and beds comfortable. Young fella who welcomed us was very polite. It is a share house. Our room had its own toilet which was good.

The accommodation is comfortable and fully equipped, offering a warm and homey atmosphere. The host, an elderly lady, is very kind and lovely. She prepares a delicious breakfast for everyone. Most importantly, the place has an onsen for guests to enjoy. If I have the chance to visit Yufuin again, I will definitely stay here again!

* The location is far from the main station and near the mountains, making it extremely windy in the evening during winter. It’s best to check in earlier.

* Enjoyed a free, handmade breakfast by the host. The room felt old but was clean, and there was a free hot spring bath.

I’ve spent more than a month in Japan and this was my favorite place to stay. The owner is very kind and prepares delicious and authentic food for you every morning. She even offered to drive me to Beppu, which was my next destination,on my last day. The place itself is located in a quiet area and close to nature, which is great. Walking distance from the more commercial part of Yufuin. The House is traditional and oldschool (in a good way) with heating, AC, TV etc. The onsen bath is also nice. Choose this place if you want a more authentic experience in the Age of soulless modern accomodation.

The bathroom and toilet not sufficient to cater for big ground of people. The toilet bit old style, good to upgrade in the future. Inconvenience to travel around without car.

The lady owner very friendly , can speck simple English, provided fabulous home make breakfast, nice view on Yufuin Mountain, space to park our car in front of the house. Comfort futon bed with fluffy blanket. Nice personnel Onsen in the bathroom.

The host was really hospitable. Although she could only speak Japanese, still use Google translate to communicate with me without problem. She provided free breakfast and I ate really full. Customers needed to take turns using hot spring. Still very pleasant concerning about the cheap price. A very nice journey there.

The house owner is so nice and warm. It was like visiting my cousin's home. The breakfast, egg sandwiches and tomato soup, is great. I also like a small onsen in the bath room.

The bedding was comfortable and the breakfast was sumptuous. The host was was thoughtful and when she noticed my young child was not eating much of the food, she prepared another sandwich for her. She also made an effort to share the stories behind some of the figurines she gave the kids using the translator. We had a great time!

The couple who are the owners were so nice. The rooms were spacious. The onsen might be a little bit small but for 2 people it’s more than enough. The breakfast the owner made was so delicious! It was very comfortable. And even tho you are sharing the house with others it was very private.

The price includes breakfast and dinner, the owner cooked by herself and prepared a whole set, I was so full and satisfied. I had a very early train to go, and she even woke up earlier to prepare everything and picked me up to the train station, truly thankful. The bath seems like onsen pool, very cute. It’s a local family owned house, so you can feel like you are a local here, too. Just a little bit far away from the train station, if you get to the house on foot.

Could not think of anything we do not like

The host is very gentle and nice lady who cooked breakfast for us and also recommended us to drive up to Sagiridai as the weather was very good on the day we checked out. We felt very much at home and all of us interacted very well with the host who is just a friend to us. We would definitely go back and stay there and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Yufuin. There is a an onsen in the bathroom.

Bed and breakfast run by a lovely lady, who gives reccommendations for things to do and see nearby and in general is very helpful. Feels like staying with family! Breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the small onsen.

Room could have been cleaned better

The owner kindly picked me up from the station at night, and in the morning she also drove me to the lake. She also made me a breakfast of some fruits and corn soup. I feel that the hospitality was really good.
