Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe team was absolutely lovely, I definitely had a good time here. Sadly the bed is really hard, it can be quite dissapoiting after a long day of walking around. Also, if you have a suitcase note that you'll have to climb stairs to access the hostel but nothing too unachivable. Overall, it has a great location and is good for the price range!

South KoreaIt would have been nice if the the sinks had warm water. Washing my face and hands was a very unpleasant experience. The common areas were pretty chilly.
All the staff were so friendly and accommodating! I really felt taken care of by everyone there. The location also cannot be beat. Everything I wanted to do was within walking distance.

RussiaThe facility is quite old, so it seems dirty/dusty, but it’s not really. The taps are not in a very good condition, some of them are pretty wobbly. The stairs at the front door were very steep. The curtain railing was very annoying, in kept falling down with any careless movement. The space for the luggage is very limited inside the rooms, so most of the people end up going through their stuff in the hallway, creating extra clutter in the narrow passage.
The location of the hostel is absolutely one of the best possible. 5 minutes from the dome and memorial park, 12 minutes to the Citizen’s culture center. The German girls who worked there via work & travel were super nice, we even went to the local bar together. Everyone was so friendly,no matter where they are from and the atmosphere was very good. Free laundry detergent and a drying rack on the porch was a nice bonus. They also have a box with free rental chargers. The living room area was quite cozy.

BelgiumCommunal space was very small for two dorm rooms. Only one small table, wich the staff also uses to fold hostel laundry or work on computer. So in the morning there was no place to eat breakfast. Also very limited space to put luggage and not a lot of toilets/showers.
Super friendly staff. Everything was clean. Nice bunks with curtains. Location was very good.

NetherlandsThe bed I had only had one thin futon (some had two, might be better). The room was very, very small for the number of beds. We had to put our luggage in the hallway.
The staff (volunteers) were very sociable. The location is good.

United KingdomYou will have to put your bags in your bed you can’t just leave it outside the corridor. Or you can leave it out side the room in the other room for space and the lockers are free in the main area to lock up your valuables. Had to do my own bedding.
Nice people and very chilled hostel The owner helped me out where to go and eat and how to get to Miyajima and taking the transport and such!

United KingdomA little bit crammed in with luggage storage just left in the corridor in the way to get to your rooms. Two main sinks for teeth brushing/face washing are in the kitchen which is a bit inconvenient as you have to walk through the social area which can be intimidating if it is loud and busy. you can just use the one in the toilet but again if it is busy then not great to hold people up.
Really great location for the main park and museum, need to take a tram from the main train station but that’s good fun. Hostel was busy which was a good sign and friendly staff. Had lots of good tourist info and were very flexible with me staying an extra day than planned
