Staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities lovely. Beautiful views across the valley and mountains. We stayed here between visits to Takayama and Tokyo and it was a breather between those locations. A great place to unwind. Loved the hot spa bath with a view.

SingaporeNothing If you're looking for an action packed holiday with many activities to occupy your kids, I'd recommend other places.
One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. There were subtle beauty in everything - from the artwork on display to even the little spoons by the coffee cups were tastefully selected. Every single staff we interacted were attentive and extremely warm without being "too friendly". We felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed roasting marshmallow and having a peaceful moment in the record room & library too. As our son was still young, we opted for the room service dinner. We got to enjoy the same delicious food as the Italian restaurant on the fifth floor but in the comfort of our own room. We highly recommend driving to this hotel.

1. Service - Exceptional service with attention to detail. The staff are very polite. They also drove us down to the nearby eateries outside the hotel. What exceeds expectations is that they call me at 6pm to check what I am having for dinner and great service at the point part of the stay. 2. Facilities - Love the view, the Forest trail and the fireside Marshmellow bbq in the evening. 3. Food - Great food. Tried the Pasta of the day and Shinshu Beef. We usually have Kobe beef and the texture and the taste of the Shinshu Beef is excellent. Bread was excellent as well. Sangria is my favorite 4. Room - very clean. Hot tub is large with water from Ueno. Amenities like coffee, tea, juices are sufficient and good quality. 5. Location - great view and fresh air. Note that the hotel is far from Karuizawa. We book this hotel with that in mind, so we had spend 3 days in Karuizawa before arriving. Mainly stayed in the hotel area for our stay. Overall love this hotel. Exceeded expectations

Hong KongLayout of bedroom is so funny. Our room is so many different doors we need to manage. We stayed at the beginning of July. It was so hot. The air-conditioning in the sleeping room. It wasn’t cold enough. The blanket is so thick and also not natural material. I and my husband had bad sleeping.
