Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Friendly staff that were very helpful. Walking distance to main tourist attractions such as the Seafood market and Kanazawa Castle Park. Free shuttle to the (and back from) train station which is a bonus!

Nice spacious room and everything about the hotel felt 5 star. Close to omicron market and the castle and gardens. Laundry rooms were nice, efficient, and fairly inexpensive.

Breakfast is outstanding and plentiful. I noticed some reviewers complained about the wait for a table but the longest we ever waited was about 5 minutes. We had lounge access with the room that we booked and appreciated relaxing there with a drink and a small meal. Our premier suite was beautiful! Really loved the large tub in the bathroom.

Very new and stylish hotel close to the castle and gardens. Bus pick up and drop off from Kanazawa Station at certain times( check with hotel in advance). No reservation required.

Breakfast buffet - only did it one day, but felt it was overpriced and not that "great" for the price you pay.
Hotel - very nice layout. The best of our trip. Room was very spacious, especially for Japan. Staff were very professional and helpful - booking reservations for us (recommended with the better restaurants in the area). Location - walking distance to most sites. Very short walk to the market. A bit of a walk from the train station but certainly doable for most people. Bed was large and comfortable, and room was quiet. Bonus - laundry facilities, and a first for me, you could monitor the 4 washing machines on the floor below with your TV! Love Japan!

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The entrance was gorgeous overlooking the waterfall garden in the centre. Our room was spotless, roomy and modern. Staff were very professional & helpful. Everything about this hotel to us was 10/10. I took no points off for the really hard mattresses because every hotel over the last 3 weeks we've stayed in Japan have had really hard (firm) mattresses. I think that's what they sleep on where as we have a soft mattress back home. The position was a walk to local restaurants etc and food marts and a 5 min cab into centre of town or station. It is also a couple of minutes walk to the great food markets. So I highly recommend without hesitation.

This was one of the best hotels we have ever visited - exceptional staff and services, our room and the entire hotel was beautiful, and it's in a great location. I could not recommend it more.

Could have done with some bowls in the room and a dish washing brush
Location is fabulous - inside a shopping mall. Taxi can’t stop at door so that’s something to watch. Staff were very helpful. The room was so good with a microwave and a washing machine. The Sake in the evening was a special treat and made it a night time ritual to unwind after sightseeing
