Bathroom doesn’t have a heater, but it was okay when keeping the door open and using the air conditioning of the room.

Great location: metro is very close, Ginza is in walking distance (20 minutes). Small and cozy hotel, rooms are modern but have a traditional touch. Typical local breakfast and dinner in room available, both very tasty (but need to be booked latest two days in advance). Owners are very friendly and helped me with preparations for my proposal to my girlfriend. It was a pleasure to stay here!

The property was small, but it felt traditional. It was truly beautiful. It was located about 15 minutes from 2 train stations ( Shijo and Gojo). Many dining options around, including Family Mart, and 7-Eleven stores.

The room was bigger than most and the location was an easy 15 -20 minute walk to most tourist places and hidden gems. The staff were amazing. Very helpful and accommodating. The in-room Coffee station, bath tub and bath salts were definitely a plus!

The staff was exceptional. Saki at the front desk was particularly wonderful. The room was very well designed: it felt as if not a single inch was wasted. I When I come back to Kyoto, I will most certainly stay here again!

The hotel is small and personal and has many ice touches. Tea service in the room, Japanese pajamas, a little fresh flower in the desk! Attention to detail and care for the guest experience was outstanding! Each day the host made sure we knew where we were going and had many suggestions! The soaking tub in each room was much needed and really memorable!

The owners and staft are super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, and have everything we needed with 2 young kids. Subway station is within a few blocks and bus stop even closer, pretty quiet location without being inconvenient to get around at all. Great hotel that made our stay in Kyoto even more relaxing and memorable!

We enjoyed an extremely pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and good to use. The washing machine was very useful and there was room for clothes to dry in the bathroom. The breakfasts were superb. They were delivered to the room at exactly the time we had asked for them and were a delight to eat. We were able to use the vey convenient dining area in the room to eat them. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Although they spoke little English they were very skilled at using Google Translate to converse with us. The staff were full of useful information and went out of their way to help us. WE would definitely stay here again if we return to Kyoto and will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed in three hotels during our trip to Japan and this was our favourite. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the staff couldn't do enough to help. The hotel is in a great location, a very short walk to Gojo Station. Would love to stay here again.

Everything, staff were kind and courteous, went out of their way to help and listened to my amateur Japanese. I would go back again very happily. Breakfast was an optional extra arranged there.

The hotel anticipated our every needs. Every product in our room were seemingly curated, including delicious local shortbread cookies, herbal bath sachet, and made-to-order all-natural essential oil diffuser. The staff were so genuinely kind and hospitable. This hotel is exceptional.

The room we were in was spacious and well equipped. There was both western and Japanese style beds. The best part was the soaking tub. The traditional Japanese breakfast we had was delicious as well.

We are so happy that we chose to stay here! Echoing other reviews I will say this was one of our best stays during our two weeks in Japan. The room was so thoughtfully designed/decorated and the beds were super comfortable. Lots of storage, a desk, a cook top, coffee grinder, and local coffee provided. We liked having the tatami mat seating area/table as well. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed while we were there & they also helped us schedule a Yamato pickup for our luggage. Great location close to Gōjo metro station and walkable to a lot of other areas in Kyoto. Quiet location. The restaurant recommendations were great! Thank you!
