Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelParking is expensive and robotic - not worth the money as you can't really access your car easily. There are nearby parking lots that I think are cheaper. We found the pillows very uncomfortable. Some noise from the train station can be heard even though there are 3 windows. No shoes allowed, including the slippers in the room, but no one time slippers are provided unless asked for.
Location is fabulous - we walked everywhere in town. The hotel offers many freebies- great bar with free drinks, AMAZING noodles at night, really good ice cream afternoon (try the Hershey!). We were very impressed by the quality and the quantity.

IsraelThe hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff was very helpful, especially with the parking, which was quite confusing. Breakfast is superb. The best shower we had in Japan since we don't like bathtubs, and we had a shower with excellent water pressure and temp.

New ZealandLocation: It's a short walk from Matsumoto Station and you can easily walk to Matsumoto castle and the surrounding areas from here. Stay: It's a very modern hotel in a traditional style. Rooms are very spacious. Breakfast was very good, mixture of western and Japanese options available. Free soba at night. No issues with check-in as some staff spoke a good level of English. Shoes aren't allowed in the hotel; they provide lockers and keys for you to store your shoes.

CanadaFound the room very hot. Some challenges in regulating the temperature. Eventually figured it out.
LOVES the hot springs! It was so wonderful after a busy day of sightseeing and coming back to relax and reflect in the spa. So many very special touches in this hotel including the noodles served from 9:30 pm to almost 11pm, the popsicles available outside the spa, the laundry facilities (free washing and 100 yen for drying) and in the morning free sour milk (not for me but whoever likes that). The location is exceptional. Walk to everything and 5 minutes walk to train and bus station. Loved the shoe lockers near reception, the pyjama outfit to wear around the hotel including the socks and no shoes policy. It was a very good thing.Would most definitely stay here again.

United StatesThe staff were friendly and so accommodating. We enjoyed the hot springs and relaxed in them every night. The ramen noodle snack each night was lovely as were the ice cream treats. Having the comfortable lounging outfits to use was so nice. We appreciated having the laundry facilities which we used. The hotel was near to the train station which made it so easy for us to enjoy our day trips to the mountains. There were some nice restaurants within easy walking distance.

RomaniaRooms are clean, nicely decorated and spacious. We also enjoyed the Onsen, both the indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel itself looks both new and traditional and they offer delicious complimentary food late in the evening + soft drinks, tea, coffee. The breakfast was very varied, delicious, and featured a great selection of Western and Japanese food.

AustraliaThere was nothing we didn’t like about this place
So many great things about this hotel. Comfortable, modern and stylish with amazing Japanese decor. Super helpful and friendly staff. The car stacker parking system blew our minds 😂. Great onsen on rooftop. Great safety precautions for women. But the absolute highlight was the buffet breakfast. It was varied and delicious. Even had tempura prawns!! Highly recommended place to stay.
