This is not a luxury hotel but rooms are well designed, clean, spacious enough for short stay. The on site onsen is fabulous and location is short walk from train station. Breakfast is included and terrific.

This property was modern but beautifully designed in Japanese tradition. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the views of the city were great. It was easily accessible on foot to the bus (5 mins) and train (7 mins) stations. The staff were very helpful at all times. The roof top onsen was amazing, sitting in the onsen with snow fluttering down was highly memorable.

The hotel was new and the staff very friendly and helpful . Upon arrival you were greeted with an arrival drink which was a lovely gesture .The tatami mats throughout the hotel were spotlessly clean and comfortable to walk on . Our room faced the snowy mountains and the view was beautiful each day . As usual the facilities make this Japanese Dormy Inn a perfect stay such as the free noodles , ice lolly and laundry facilities

The hotel was a 5min walk from the train station. It was a calm quiet hotel, shoes off at reception and no shoes in the hotel. The onsen was very peaceful and well worth a visit. The bed was so comfortable and the shower was great. The staff were kind and helpful and spoke good English. There was free coffee and tea and after 9pm there was a free bowl of Ramen. All together a great stay.

Hot spring was incredible and the room was super comfy and functional. Lots of space and kept really clean. Loved all the extras like free drink on arrival and the icy poles after hot spring. Excellent value for money and in a perfect location

Exceptional stay, clean, well furnished, spacious and super comfy beds. Onsen is the key of this location. It is a must visit, both indoor and outdoors available, with complimentary drinks to take afterwards! Reception was attentive and helpful to assist with cleaning the luggage. Note that this hotel does not allow walking indoors with shoes and you will have to keep your shoes in the lockers, no trouble at all! Free ramen was also given at night for supper, which makes for a lovely meal right after our onsen visit. Breakfast spread has a huge variety of options. Location is convenient and easily accessible from the station. It was an incredible stay and we will be back for sure!

Great location, an easy walk from the train station, even with luggage. The hotel is very clean, but beware you do have to remove your shoes at the entrance, leave them in a locker, and walk to your room in your socks. Our room was small, but workable and very clean. The bathroom and shower were very small, but the shower pressure was fantastic, as we found in most Japan hotels. They know how to do showers right! The bed was comfortable. We walked all over Matsumoto from the hotel. It was about a 20-minute walk to Matsumoto Castle, good exercise after a long train ride. We were able to walk everywhere we went, including the miso factory for a tour and to a fantastic Neapolitan pizza restaurant for dinner, Pizza Verde Matsumoto. Onyado Nono is a great option for our one-night stay in Matsumoto. Easy walk back to the train station early the next morning.

Very nice combination of japanese europian traditions. Good onsen on the upper floor. It was very comfortable walking inside the hotel without street shoes.

Huge TV cum display cupboard with traditional crafts. It would be more useful if there were shelves or tabletops for us to put our things.

Everything was clean as guests have to leave their shoes in lockers beside the entrance of the hotel. There is an onsen at the top level and even free ice cream for guests. Laundry wash is heavy duty and frer and the dryer only cost ¥300. Staff was always polite and greeted us. It is fairly near to the Matsumoto train station and bus terminal. This made it convenient for us to travel around.

Very good value for money. The hotel is very clean. You remove your shoes at the entrance and you walk on tatami most of the time. Breakfast was Japanese and good. The room are simple but clean comfortable and with an harmonious design. Recommended!!
