How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Air conditioner was not strong enough and room was cold. Full of dust on the room fan. Mattress is old and uncomfortable. Felt coils on my back while sleeping. TV was not working at all. Didn’t receive any signal.

The bathroom was not clean. Additionally, there was an almost perfect square part in the center of the mirror that never fogged over after showering. It was odd and makes it seem like there’s something behind the mirror.

I didn't like the beds. They were uncomfortable. Otherwise I was happy with everything else.
I think the location of the hotel is good. It was not troublesome to do the self check in. The internet and other facilities were good.

It can be a bit dirty in places and it’s a bit out of the way of the Center. Not too bad though.
Spacious and the massage chair was decent. Cool balcony.

At night hot water does not work well. Maybe many people use it. Toilet cover does not match the toilet but is ok. Hair dryer doesn't work, it short circuits.
The room is clean and has enough space for 3 people. There is a small kitchen in the room. It is useful.

there is no staff support invoice and receipt. Properties staff and booking.com staff refuse to issue invoice and receipt.

Everything was a bit expensive because it's the heart of the city. No proper supermarket to shop but plenty of convenient store.

The hotel don’t have luggage services as we go during new year holiday then the coin locker or luggage service is closed.

Only one of the 5 ipads was working during checkout, so there was a big line of people trying to check in. The place was not terribly clean, and you only get one set of towels (we were staying 4 nights). There's no concierge so you can't really message anyone and there are no amenities and no cleaning. No ability to drop off your luggage early. There was hair on the walls in the bathtub, dust on the tray with the mugs and glasses, dusty shelves, and walls don't look like they've ever been given a wash (random dirt + smears). It was pretty loud - you can hear neighbours coughing, sneezing, laughing, partying, etc (even though there are signs about being quiet). The beds feel more like cots - you can feel the springs.
The room is very spacious, the massage chair is great. Plugs near the bed, laundry was convenient, a small desk to work, and location was pretty convenient too. Affordable for the space/size.

It didn't appear to be a party area but it was quite noisy outside both nights we stayed there. The self-check-in is fine in theory but the iPads gave us an error (for no apparent reason) so we were delayed checking in for a bit. With nobody to talk to about it. Then it eventually randomly worked.

The amenities are not really clean and new. The springs of the mattresses are old, kettle is out of order.

The room was not well cleaned. Windows were covered with dust.
You are in the heart of the city, when you go out you can watch life going on. You can cook but you don't have chairs if you want to eat on the table

Bit dated.
Good location close to the canals, Canal City, lots of people around. Great choices of food at the night market. Comparably good space, air conditioning, small fridge. My first unmanned hotel, staff responsive on the in room tablet.
