Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe Hotel was located very close to the train station in a cute little street. It is very homey and comfortable and the staff was so nice and very helpful. We didn’t try the spa but I am sure it would have been great. Can not recommend highly enough.

Amazing location that's near tons of restaurants and a 5 minute walk from the Kamakura train stop. Room was more spacious than expected and the beds were comfortable. Onsen in basement was great. Hotel also features coin laundry, vending machines, and a free-to-read manga collection.

ThailandThe onsen was quite small. The bad part was that I found a Chinese mother and daughter who didn’t shower before entering the onsen, and the mother let her daughter’s long hair dip into the water. I wish the accommodation would provide proper instructions on how to use the onsen correctly to foreign guests.

AustraliaIf there are some skin care products provided at the onsen area, that would be perfect.
The environment of the hotel, the room with bunk beds, we all love it! Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect room size and very clean. Food and soup provided by the hotel which made the guests feel warmth welcome.

MexicoThere is a large group of staff at the front desk, but their assistance can sometimes be limited, and they were occasionally rude in how they spoke to other guests. Although we speak Japanese, it seemed that those who did not may have experienced different treatment. The restaurant space is available for rent at 500 yen per person, but it closes at 7 pm, which significantly limits its usefulness.
The location, design, and the Spanish-speaking staff were absolutely wonderful!

SingaporeThe table and 2 chairs in the room takes up place. Since the room is small, it's not necessary to hv the table n chairs in the room
Love the extra pillows provided that you can pick up at lobby subject to availability. They also provide comfortable Pajamas and toiletries. Supper was complementary - miso soup n roasted onigiri. Location is on a shopping street n lots of eating places.

Singaporewe had a premier room 2 beds and 2 futon. there weren't much place to walk about or even to open the luggage bags if we were to follow the furniture arrangement of the hotel .so we had to rearrange the furniture so that we could have space to access our luggage. the check in time was a little late at 3pm. we would have liked it better if we could checked in a little earlier so that qe could rest after our long flight to Japan.
lovely location komachi street was a stone throw away. easily change to enoden or the JR lines. lovely touch that the hotel provided miso soup supper with a simple onigiri. staff was polite and hospitable. would recommend this hotel to a friend.

United StatesThere were not many choices for breakfast which I thought was a bit pricy. I would rather have buffet than a set menu.
Hotel staff were very helpful. I enjoyed both public bath and bath in my room. A complimentary grilled onigiri and miso soup were wonderful treats.

MalaysiaNothing. The hotel is a bit pricier than all the other ones I booked in Tokyo, but it is worth the money considering all the benefits and experiences you get from it.
I only stayed one night here but I wished i had stayed longer. The place is beautiful, the room is spacious and clean with nice amenities. I enjoyed the public bath and loved the clothing provided to move around the hotel. We received supper vouchers for a free grilled onigiri and clam miso soup, such a wonderful treat. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and on a lovely shopping street, so accessible. The receptionists are so polite and kind. The whole experience has been wonderful from start to end.

United Statesno complaints, it was a great stay.
A really nicely designed and perfectly located hotel in a quiet but really nice part of Kamakura, around lots of shops and restaurants, a short walk from the station on the main road, and only a 15 minute walk to the beach, and about as much to the "other side of the station" (where there are tons more shops and restaurants and bars and things to do and see). I didn't get to all of Kamakura, but for what I saw and did, this was a perfect location, and the staff was very professional and polite.

United StatesThis is a perfect place to stay in Kamakura: close to the station but quiet and stylish, public bath is great, and staff is simply perfect. Breakfast - awesome, I took Japanese option and it was the tastiest morning treat with great variety of dishes, and baked mackerel was the best I ever had. Manager Jose is multi-lingual, and it helps a lot.
