Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesGreat location, right in the middle of Osu Market and within walking distance to the subway station. The staff are really nice—especially Marie! She’s not only kind but also beautiful. I hope i remember her name correctly! 😊Thanks for the great café recommendation—I loved it! Looking forward to my next vacation with friends, and I’ll definitely stay here again. (Let’s have a drink next time, Marie!) By the way, I lost one piece of my earpods during my stay. If anyone finds it, please let the staff know!

Australia-It would be nice if they can provide a handwash or hand sanitiser in the toilets. -Making your own bed is a bit awkward on the top bunk. 😞 -Male and female toilets/showers are not separated.
Very clean facilities, well maintained. Amazing staff, super friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed with two plug points and even a small alcove to store your belongings on the top bunk. Room is limited to 5 guests so it is very quiet at night and easy to rest without any disturbances. Security is great with different passkey for hostel and room entrance. Location is in Osu area close to many shopping facilities and two subway lines for access around the area. I found it easy for my day trips. But if you are frequently travelling from Nagoya station this location can be a bit awkward as you need to do two transfers. Its not too far however.

Malaysia- The shower rooms are only on one floor and it is mixed gender (of course there is a lock for each of the shower cubicle). A little bit uncomfortable for me, but luckily there were no man when I had to use the shower.
- Clean room, shower and toilets. - Big space for me to put my luggage. - Each bed is provided with bedlight and socket. - Close to a bus stop if you were to go to Nagoya Station. - Really close to a shopping street (dont remember what it's name). - I arrived around 10am and the door was locked when I arrived to keep my luggage, since the check in is at 3pm. Luckily, there were guests in the living room to help open the door. Perhaps to inform the guests on the passcode if they arrived early.

PhilippinesShared bathroom on a different floor. Would be nice it there's a bathroom on each floor instead. But was able to use it when needed.
Nice location, can walk to Oasis 21 and Central Park. Also near train stations and within Osu shopping district. Has some nice vintage shops nearby.

PhilippinesIt'd be better if men and women had separate showers. Sharing the same space can be awkward for some individuals.
The location was very convenient, as it was close to the subway station. The hostel is where I had the most pleasant conversation with the staff. They speak really good and understandable English. I am also grateful that they accommodated my request regarding the bed. I guess my bed was comfortable and I was too tired that night, I slept like a baby and didn't notice the noise, even though my bed was right next to the door.

Switzerlandnothing to mention :)
A really nice place. Right beside a cool neighborhood and very easy to find with multiple metro line stations nearby. Staff was super kind, flexible, and helpful. They even let us leave our luggage for the day after check out while we went out and checked out the area around Nagoya. We stayed just 1 night but I'll definitly check this place out again when I'm next in Nagoya.

AustraliaNot a huge deal, but one extra pillow would’ve been lovely
We had a wonderful stay at the Trip and Sleep Hostel. As a family of four, our kids especially loved the bunk beds and enjoyed eating our convenience-store dinner in the communal lounge. The unisex shower rooms were clean and functional—though I was initially unsure, they turned out to be just fine. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The hostel offers complimentary coffee and tea, and you can fill your water bottle in the kitchen. To our surprise, despite this being our first hostel experience, it was incredibly quiet, and all the guests were respectful. The location is unbeatable, just steps away from a shopping street with easy access to everything we needed. After a long drive from Kobe, we were greeted warmly by the English-speaking staff. The rooms felt very secure, with double doors and a unique passcode for each guest. Making our own beds was simple, and fresh towels were available for ¥100 each. There’s also a self-service laundry for ¥400 per load, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a great stay in a well-situated and friendly hostel!
