Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeThe photos of the hotel made the rooms all look very new and modern, however the family rooms are a bit older. I can imagine that this would be a great place for a couple to stay but for a family it is good not great. So I felt a bit misled by the photos. Also, the in-room toilet was very small and so a bit cramped to use. We checked in late in the evening after 8pm and there was only one poor staff running around checking in people. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk and we had to wait for a while even after trying to contact the emergency numbers, more staff would have been helpful. Also there isn't any elevator so if you are on the 3rd floor be prepared to carry your luggage with you up the stairs.
The location is fantastic as you can see Fuji-san from the hotel on a clear day. The hotel is clean and there was a little welcome gift for all the guests. The room was spacious and all set up for us when we arrived so 5 of us had a good sleep. We didn't expect much in terms of amenities but there is a fridge, air purifier, tv (on a large low table) and hot water kettle with mugs and a drink which is nice.

CanadaNo heat, not enough bathroom facilities. They even charge for extra towel. They only provide one cup per room for drinking purpose. Premise is old and cold
Doesn't worth the money. I think their rate is super high.

JapanA bit more careful cleaning would be good, the cup in the bathroom was dirty, the towels and bed had some small stains. There was also some hair by the rubbish bin.

JapanThe bed was terrible. It consisted of two layers of cheap, overly soft "mattresses" that slid across each other on a light wooden frame. There was almost never a staff member at the front desk (although the staff was polite and competent when we eventually got hold of them). The room was small (standard double room) and the toilet spaces (both in the room and elsewhere in the facility) were so minuscule that they were challenging to use (I'm 175cm tall). Photos don't show how tiny the spaces are, but if you are very small and/or a yoga master this might not be a problem.
The room and facilities were clean, which was surprising given how understaffed they were.

United KingdomI liked everything!
I booked the private bathroom and this was amazing! The owner was polite and made us a traditional set dinner meal I had booked. The location is beautiful also; we chose Lake Yamanakako to avoid the busy other lakes; but drove around from here and it was close to everything. I really enjoyed the ryokan experience. Our room had a lovely view of the mountain, as does the rooftop; we got up early to watch the sun rise over it.

SpainThe site is located in a very charming place, the people there welcomed me throughout my stay wonderfully. The place is cozy and the rooms are very well maintained with beautiful views. I recommend people choose this place if they want good views of Mount Fuji without being in a totally touristy area.

PolandArrived at 7 p.m, there was no one in the hall, was looking how to check-in. Finally found a girl-staff who provided us with a pin to our room. We asked her about a dinner but NO, you should reserve possibility to eat in advance. There is only one normal cafe nearby (~10 minutes walk) but it was full. So we left hungry. There is no Mt. Fuji view close to the hotel. Better to come by a car. Taxi in the town works 9 a.m - 6 p.m. Buses work starting from 7:20. We needed to leave at 6 a.m but we couldn’t and missed our train to Tokyo. No internet in rooms.
Stayed for one night. Rooms are in Japanese style, no beds, low table.
