How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom was very small.
right across the street from a farmer’s market. very convenient to the station. Laundry on site with the ability to monitor laundry status from the room. Fresh towels delivered daily.

Breakfast was included in the price but the food was not ok. We returned vouchers for the second day. It was a strange assortment of food, no buffet. Neither Japanese neither western breakfast. White unhealthy bread with a marmalade, minestrone soup and a bitter coffee dessert. We went to supermarket instead to get some food for the next day.
Hotel was clean and staff was kind and very helpful. We did enjoy the onsen, one pool is inside and one pool is outside, water temperature is perfect, everything is clean. Excellent location, very close to the train station and easy to find. Except the breakfast everything was great.

The room was small (normal for japanese standards, though), including the bed (for a couple).
The hotel is well located to Hiroshima station (5 minutes walk), and has a convenience store across the street. In the upper floor they have hot baths for the guests, which was really nice in the evening, after sightseeing the city.

I could hear loud tourists walking down the hall from my room.
A very short walk away from Hiroshima station, it’s just right around the corner! Had an amenity bar by the elevators. Price is extremely reasonable for what they offer: the amenities, public bath, coin laundry, luggage storage service, etc.

Small room and bed for two persons. The bed was also very hard.
The location right next to Hiroshima Station is convenient when spending a few days in the city before hitting the rails again. Nice value for money.

Cleaning staff is perhaps too nice! We received a new set of towels and pajama each day for the 4 nights we stayed, yet we only needed one set and kept cleaning service requests down to 1 day out of the 4 nights, 5 days. Would have preferred complimentary water bottles instead, like other hotels we've stayed at.
Great location -- a short walk from Hiroshima station and many restaurants. Staff (front desk, cleaning) don't speak much English but are very kind and helpful. Public bath is great -- on women's side there is a slightly cooler one and slightly warmer one, with free lockers, amenities, hair dryers, and lotions. Room is comfortable. Only comes with one pillow per person (or two total for a full bed, and I had my partner with me), but I was able to rent another pillow for free from the front desk. The self-service luggage locking system is very nice after you check out.
