Czech RepublicThis was a unique experience. Since it is a buddhist hotel, you can enjoy a session of guided meditation right with the master from near by temple. You can also try your hand at copying the heart sutra and rewriting the characters using brush and ink. The rooms have an option for a pleasant and calming music. The staff were simply amazing. They were extremely friendly and kind, ready to help with whatever you needed. Breakfast was great, tho it might not be for everyone, as it is exclusively vegetarian dishes due to the buddhist belief of not eating meat or fish. But I can only praise the breakfast and the staff preparing it, they were probably the kindest people I met so far in Japan. Overall a great experience, I would be honored to stay at this place again some time in the future.

United StatesFeels nit-picky but there is a panel to control lights in the room on the headboard. When the lights are off it emits a bright green indicator light. I had to find a way to cover this up so the room didn't glow at night. Also the street noise was a little loud, but easily solved with ear plugs.

ThailandThe size of the bathroom is not my personal favorite but understandable. The bathroom design and feel are similar to one on airplanes but again not a big problem considering it could be the standard set-up.
We like the smell of the incense they always put on. It is so calming.. In every room they provided guest with book (in english, korean, and japanese) about the teaching of Buddha and I personally enjoy reading the book. The location is also amazing. For us, it's walking distance to the dotonburi (we walk a lot!), and also that famous market near Hitachi tower.

The staff are amazing! They were all very nice and so helpful. They helped me manually set up luggage delivery service (3rd party company) as it didn't show our next hotel from booking online. Also, they suggested we could join a guided sitting meditation session with a monk from a nearby temple. This was both in Japanese and English so we were able to learn and enjoy the whole experience. It was in a very relaxed and inviting pace. The monk was quite proficient in English too. I highly recommend it!

SUPER Friendly staff. Hotel design is really up to my Zen taste. The vegan breakfast is simple but it gives me a taste of seemingly authentic Japanese morning breakfast. Good location. Free luggage storage service after our checkout as we still stayed in town to visit for a couple of hours. They even provide free amenities in rooms for guests to take home.

the hotel is amazing! everything was clean, the room is cozy and looked very nice. they give you sandals, socks and clothes to wear. it was a really enjoyable stay, since you could really rest well in that room. they also have many different things you could try like a meditation. i would definetly go there again! the staff was also very friendly and spoke english very well, and helped me to transport my luggage to kyoto! i already want to go back again....
