Complimentary breakfast was a nice gesture, but not particularly inspired or veggie friendly.

Very well run, tiny room as expected, but super clean and handy facilities made it an overall good experience. Friendly staff, perfect location and nice respectful vibe.

Comfortable lounge to work or take calls in. Overall very clean and aesthetic design. Free breakfast, tea, and ramen for midnight snacks. Large shower stalls and plenty of toilets/sinks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay again!

The bed was too hard for me and I woke up with back pain. The breakfast was 2 plastic packed sandwiches one with a sausage and one with egg. The window was very small you had basically no daylight in the room, but you go to japan for sightseeing and not to stay in the room so it’s okay.

The stay was really good. It was nice and quiet at night, the staff was very friendly and helped us a lot, it was clean and the offer of hotel facilities were great (powder room for ladies, blowdrier, toothbrush, shower gel etc. was there, sink in the room, and much more.) the hostel looked really beautiful making an overall good feeling. If you are looking for the highest quality hostel you can get for this price, you will be at the right place at WeBaseKyoto!

The room wasn't ready until 4pm, even though check-in was stated as 3pm as normal. This was a bit frustrating as we had just arrived in Kyoto and wanted to go exploring the city. Excellent experience here other than this.

A tiny bit confusing to walk from the station.

The area was quiet with easy access to a variety of drinks and food. The staff was friendly and explained the procedures carefully.

When we got to the room was very hot, and the cold air com wasn’t working. The called the staff to open the windows for us.

Dryer downstairs didn’t work at all. We waited for about 90 minutes, our clothes were still wet. This is the only thing we had a hard time for.

This hostel is amazing! Not only the staff is super friendly, but they offer a lounge area with a lot of comfort: games, books, couch, coffee, tea, breakfast, noodles. All for free! The shared showers are spotless, the powder room offers extra amenities. And the private bedroom is super comfortable. Small but enough for its purpose of sleeping. The free breakfast was a surprise for me as I did not book anything. It's the same everyday but it's tasty. Definitely one of the best accommodations we had during our whole trip to Japan!

Webase Kyoto was a great night stay. The staff were friendly - we were able to store our luggage before check in very easily. The room was nice and clean and we loved the bath in our room. The breakfast was a lovely touch too.

Had a little trouble communicating with the front desk staff in English but it was not an issue for us.

Nice location about a 5-10 minute walk to the train station, quiet street. Communal restrooms were clean. We had a family room with 2 large beds (comfy!) and the room was very spacious. They provide a coffee/water machine in the communal space and provide a brown bag breakfast of hotdogs for takeaway each day. The communal space was lovely and quiet. Overall we would recommend!

Our stay was great. Stuff was very friendly. Nice clean room. The ladies powder room was really amazing. Dining area was exceptionally decorated with modern touch and wooden decore. Really nice! We even got a small breakfast with coffee and tea. 100% recommended!

We're not really used to the bunk bed and hit our head several times.

The lounge was really cozy. We met a friendly couple and shared our journey with each other. We enjoyed the free breakfast, coffee, tea and night snack as well. The staffs are very kind and helpfull.

Not even kidding but everything, the cool little capsule rooms, the cool social loung area with a water/oolong tea dispenser, they even had these free egg sandwiches for breakfast waaaatttt?!? Even the conveniently placed sink. The shower 🚿 super cleanly and spacious. Sadly only stayed for one 🌃 night, should have stayed a couple more days.

Staff were welcoming. A few mins walk to the station and very accessible to the main streets of Kyoto. Most places are about a 15-20min walk

It would have been great if the windows could be opened. On a rainy day the air was very humid and hot in the room and opening the door or putting on air conditioner wasn’t helping much. And maybe a small luxury problem but a few more jacket hangers or something like a mini shelve would have been very convenient to put your stuff somewhere.

WeBase had a really nice location, compared to the hotspots of Kyoto it was also more calm. As a couple in a hostel we were positively surprised how convenient everything was. There were a lot of shower on the underground floor and they were very clean. Each floor provided toilets as well. The room looked as in the pictures. The personnel was very friendly and helped us with our suitcase delivery to Osaka. We are happy with our choice to stay at WeBase and would do it again!
