Exceptional Japanese hospitality from the kind hosts. Very romatic during the snowy night. Best in house coffee. Had espresso shots one after another. Superb heartfelt bento breakfast packed with much thoughts. Will definitely come back again!

Hosts were so kind and accomodating, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Breakfast boxes were provided every morning. Rooms were well equiped and lighting was perfect. The shared kitchen and dining area had everything from coffee supplies to board games. The highlight was the outdoor private onsen (which we were allowed to book in for 30mins every morning/evening). Couldn't fault this stay, thank you so much

All in all an excellent stay! The hosts were super kind and helpful and provided great advices for food and visits, the location is handy, the spring water bath is perfect, the breakfast box is very good, the room was large and comfy!

The bedroom mirror has poor lighting, for girlies like myself who do their makeup.

The facility was very clean, and had several amenities including a private onsen. The staff was very friendly, and spoke some English which is nice. Overall very foreigner friendly, great location, and quality for the price.

Honestly one of the best hotels I had so far in Japan (and I had a lot). Close to the railway station, really comfy, nice design, good breakfast - and on top, of course the Onsen, which is easy to book - everybody gets the chance to use it. And the owner, so kind! We would love to come back sometime. :)

Nothing, the place is recommendable to our friends!

We loved that it's just a 5 min walk from the train station and how accessible it is to nearby restaurants. The rooms are well appointed with good amenities considering it's a Ryokan. They have a private Onsen that you may schedule for us, a nice and cozy lounging area where we could have our breakfast and coffee. The staff were very helpful. The manager had a translator device so language was not a huge barrier.

very lovely ryokan. the staff was very friendly. the private onsen is great. there is a common room where you can sit, there are games for children, tea and coffee. just 5 minutes walk from takayama station. for breakfast there are tasty sandwiches made with a lot of care. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

The onsen was amazing, the lady that checked us in was extremely nice and gave us a lot of great advice for our stay and the room was spacious, warm and clean. The common area was super cozy and the breakfast box was a nice addition. Perfect stay. 🥰

The rooms are clean and have an atmosphere of authentic Japanese experience. There is also an onsen. The pillow is a bit hard.

The lovely staff explains the details of the city in a wonderful way, taking care of us very well.

Great modern style traditional Japanese hotel with a beautiful small onsen outside which you can book a private slot in, nicely decorated, comfortable rooms and a cute little breakfast box in the morning. Highly recommend!

The hotel is a short walk into the main area of town - not an issue for us as only took around 10-15 minutes before you’re in the main tourist streets / “old town”

The staff (M Hoshino) was the friendliest and most helpful and welcoming reception we’ve had in Japan! She spoke great English and gave us lots of tips about things to do in town/local area. The hotel itself is very clean, has great shared kitchen facilities including free tea/coffee, a small hot spring bath (you had to book a private slot per group due to COVID) and rooms were spacious. The beds were really comfy too so we slept very well. Would highly recommend!
