Structure very beautiful, great bathrooms and shower service, they're shared. Position good, with buses you can go everywhere in 10 minutes. Available bike services. Kitchen service good. Laundry not tested.

Quirky house close to conviences and lake Ashi

It was cold downstairs - so cold we didn't bother to shower. We had the AC cranked up but you still needed a jumper inside downstairs. Upstairs was toasty where the bedrooms where but kitchen, living room, bathrooms are all downstairs and frigid.

A very quirky house in true Japanese style! Close to the pirate ship ferry around the lake and the local 7-eleven so easy to get supplies. Fake books and sandstone walls added to the quirkiness. You can see the giant Tori-gate into the town and on the lake from just outside the door.

No WiFi Strict house rules (check out at 10, check in at 16) while not maintaining better standard on the facilities.

    Location very convenient

We had trouble figuring out how to turn on the hot water for the shower. In the end the water was foo cold so we could not shower. The bed in the main bedroom with the bunk beds were very hard. We ended up sleeping in another room with the futon.

The location is perfect if you want to capture the iconic view of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji. Just cross the road and you will have the view. The house is lovely for one night stay . Overall the house is clean and the upstairs was warm for sleeping.

The second floor light in the stairs is broken and the house didn’t clean up properly , and also the fireplace is broken also and there is no response when you ask for staff and not accurate information about the way to entrance the house, is the worst experience in the self checkin i ever had except the place is good close to the bus station

Low quality facilities.. Vey cold. Heating took a very long time to start working. Nearby restaurants close very early. But the price is low, so overall its a decent value.

Nice, roomy chalet, good location, but not very winter-proof

Chalet might be lovely in summer, but we arrived 18 p.m. , inside the chalet, it felt like close to freezing temperature, and the airconditioning isn't powerful enough to make it warm (even after a complete night of heating). There is a pellet stove but no pellets. All restaurants were closed at 18 so we had to eat prepped meal from 7/11, but that's our mistake. There was hair in both beds that didnt belong to us, might be coïncidence. The stone bath is so cold (the stones themselves), so they cool down the water immediately. In short: chalet looks nice, might be lovely in summer but unfortunately for winter time there was a lack of comfort.

Location is very good, if there was no big building across the road there would be a lake view. But 7/11 store and pirate ship are within 1 minute walking distance, hakone checkpoint and restaurants are also at walking distance (10-15 minutes). Multiple bedrooms with airconditioning.

Photos are deceiving. Property must be a repurposed old office or similar as there's quite a few compromises. All bedding is the bare minimum, walls are wallpapered rocks, house is super noisy and moves with large vehicles passing by, bathroom is something you'd find in a prison. Wouldn't stay again unless it was with a large group of males trying to save a few $$.

Location is amazing, the lake is literally across the road. Price point is great for the area.

A comfy chalet by the lakeside with an unforgettable view.

We loved everything. This is more of a recommendation. A small coffee pod machine or coffee/tea provision would be good to add and make the experience of window watching the lake a great memory.

We stayed as 3 adults and 4 young children. Location was exceptional +++. Chalet is by the lake and surrounded by trees. Very close to the centre of town and public transport. 7/11 is right next door. Chalet is on the main road and deck has no fencing so take care with children. Inside is spacious which was great for the kids (all under 7years old) to play and chill. There is a large dining table for proper sit down meals and a great view of the lake from another separate breakfast table. Shower and bathrooms are roomy and are separated. Upstairs bedrooms are comfy and plenty of room to open our luggage. Everyone had space to move around. Amenities were all in good working conditions. Overall a great place to start off the Hakone pass and a great base for the region.
