Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandPersonally when I plan to travel in Japan, for any prefecture or region, usually I will search for this hotel name first as I preferred the connecting-room and not much to choose for this type of room available in Booking.com (first time I know this hotel was from Nagoya city). The price was reasonable for room quality services, even though the location was a bit far and inconvenient for anyone who traveling by public transport but if traveling by rented car, it would be great as there was a temporary parking in front of the hotel (only for picking-up or sending-off, 15 mins tops).

JapanThe rooms was a little dusty in places so a bit more care in cleaning would be appreciated. Also the cleaners entered my room twice despite a do not disturb sign on the day of checkout. Checkout is 11 so they really shouldn't be coming into the room until I'm out of the hotel.
Great location next to Sendai station and the "Asaichi" outdoor food market. I thought the room was well laid out and well lit to do a bit of work as well as rest. The breakfast was fairly varied with Japanese regional food and bread and French toast. I found the bed firm but comfortable as a side sleeper. The pillow was great and I slept well.

New ZealandI really enjoyed everything about my stay. The hotel staff are lovely and committed to their job and ensure you are really well looked after and attended to. I certainly recommend it. I would definitely be back.

Hong KongNothing particular, great if the room can be a bit bigger.
Room size were fairly standard of Sotetsu and the room temperature can be individually controlled. Location is quite close to the JR station, exit from Parco 2 and pass through the Sendai Morning Market. There were amenities in the lobby along with a luggage scale.

AustraliaProperty is really well located, right next to the morning market and a short walk to Sendai Station (and an even shorter walk to the subway). Everything was very clean and many amenities, including toiletries, were available. Room was Japan-sized (small), but as well laid out as could be.

AustraliaDouble room is very small. Lucky we had a joined one with two singles for kids and their room better value. Our room bit claustraphobic. Our room was a bit cold but it was warm out in the corridor. The Japanese breakfast is wasted on us. Just a bit too much fish and fermented beans or coffee jelly for these westerners.
Clean, modern hotel with breakfast and not far from train or bus. There were lots of freebies if you forgot your hair straightener or toiletries. I liked the deep bath.

JapanThe room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of both Japanese and Western options. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can use a touch screen for things like checking in and out, and buying the coupon for breakfast. There’s also a self luggage storage and amenities corner.

Exceptional location close to Sendai railway station, shops and restaurants. Small but very clean rooms. The breakfast was Japanese style - great variety. Onsite laundry was also handy. Highly recommend for your stay in Sendai.

South KoreaThe breakfast variety is kind of lacking. I wish there were a bigger selection of foods to choose from. Also the nearest convenience store is two blocks away so make sure to buy before you come into the hotel.
Hotel is very clean and close to the main train station. A lot amenities to use which you can take from the lobby. The room is small but very clean with a comfortable bed and clean sheets. Pajamas are also provided on each floor.

Although the room is a bit small (as expected of japanese hoptels), it was very convenient to have it so that we could store our luggages underneath the bed to provide extra space in the room itself! I also loved that all the switches for the lights were right next to the bed.

United StatesDecently close to the station, still a bit of a walk if you have large luggage. Has all the complimentary amenities (ie toner, serum, hair pack, etc.) on 1F and I saw you could also borrow curling irons & blowdryer there as well.
