Our stay at the apartment was perfect. The room is charming, clean and comfortable. It has everything you could need from cooking facilities to clothes washing facilities. The location is great for exploring Shinjuku and close to Okubo Station. The host was extremely accommodating and friendly; he collected a parcel sent from the airport, stayed up to show us round after a delay at the airport and dropped us off at the subway when we were moving on (he also provided a water and a coffee which was appreciated on a 7am start). Couldn’t recommend more if you want a home away from home in Tokyo!

Sleeping on the floor is obviously traditional of a Ryokan in Japan, we're not really used to it coming from the UK so it is not a complaint at all. Just be aware that you will be sleeping on a thin mattress. Nothing to dislike.

The host was so helpful! He had offered to pick us up but we decided to walk, should have had a lift as we got lost (our fault). He met us at the property and showed us everything in the apartment (using google translate as didn't speak English). The apartment was very compact but had everything we needed including a washing machine which was really useful. We were out during the day so didn't spend a lot of time in the apartment so it didn't matter that it was quite small. When we left the host gave us a lift to Shinjuku main station, he was so helpful, he offered us drinks etc, really lovely guy.

Wonderful hosts, very kind and helpful. Provided a free shuttle service to the location and back to the station. The room itself is very comfortable with everything I needed. If you want a taste of what it's like to actually live in an apartment in Tokyo, this is it!

I wish I could stay here longer!

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful on our first stop in Japan. The host speaks Japanese and Chinese and little English. He exceeded our expectations and picked us up from outside the station. The room was perfect, had everything we needed (fridge, microwave, dryer) including a small hottub and was very clean. It was so comfortable sleeping on the futon. He dropped us off on the station and even gave us water for the onward journey!

The area was safe even when walking around at night and the garden was beautiful, with nice Christmas lights. The room was clean and cozy and really felt like home while still being an authentic Japanese experience with the traditional flooring. Loved it!

The proximity with the station, the shops and supermarket, the host was incredible and very helpful. The property is very cost as well, with everything you need for a stay (washing machine, drying rack, amenities), and the futons were really comfortable as well.

Could perhaps have a light switch or lamp where I slept, as sometimes was stumbling around when I got up - but a very minor point!

The place is simple, but fulfils every need you might have comfortably. The location is in a nice quiet area, but very accessible. The host is one of the best I’ve ever had - very good communication, even if we don’t share a language, and helpful in every way, including offering a lift and giving us drinks as it was hot outside.

The futon is not super comfy, but comes stocked with lots of pillows and blankets!

The owner was awesome. He picked us up from the station and pointed out important locations around our apartment. He even sent message to let us know about fireworks that were happening one night! The location was close to two train stations, making it easy to get around. The room had a kitchen which met all of our needs.

The room was spacious enough for Tokyo, and for our three night shopping stay comfortably. The host was a very helpful man, insisting on picking up from the subway station in his comfortable car. He also offered to hold our large luggage for 2 weeks while we were away so we could save money on storage fees. He also gave us a can of coffee or tea every time he saw us in the hall.

Apart from the excellent location which is near subway station and supermarkets, I also liked the kitchen which is well equipped with all the cooking utensils. I especially liked the free shuttle services provided by the owner and would like to take this opportunity to thank the owner again to pick us at the Shin-Okubo station on a rainy day and sent us to the Limousine Airport Stop after check-out.

In terms of the facilities, it was very private, clean and well located to the station. But can I just say the host was above and beyond; he picked us up, gave us a full break down of the amenities and asked to drop us off in the morning to our next location and gave us tips and tricks + coffee to start off our morning! As a first night in Japan in was literally one of the biggest welcomes one could have and really set a nice hospitable tone for the rest of the trip. Genuinely don’t even think you get that kind of treatment at hotels. Highly recommend.

What I loved most about our stay was the exceptional hospitality provided by our host. He not only ensured our comfort by offering transportation from and to the station but also made our mornings delightful with cute little coffees. His kindness and attentiveness, especially towards our little one, truly made us feel welcomed and cared for. Additionally, the location was ideal—quiet and picturesque, yet conveniently close to essential amenities and the train station.
