How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

the room is very tiny. not much space to unpack. It was a bit too tight but still okay for a family of 4 (with elementary age kids).

The rooms and common areas are very clean. Walking distance to Shinsaibashi Shopping Street and Dotonbori Area. Very near MRT station. We would definitely book here again.

However, keep in mind that there are no elevators, so you’ll need to carry your luggage up the stairs. Because it’s in a lively area, it can be a bit noisy at night, especially if your room faces the street. If you're a light sleeper, earplugs might be a good idea.
Check-in was incredibly fast and seamless, making for a smooth start to our stay. The online staff were helpful and informative, providing all the details we needed. The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Shinsaibashisuji, Dotonbori, and other central areas, making it perfect for exploring Osaka. Plus, it's conveniently close to the metro, making city travel a breeze. With countless dining and shopping options nearby, it’s an ideal spot for those who love to go out and enjoy the nightlife. Lack of elevators. Have to carry luggage up and down the stairs during check in and check out.
Convenient location, walkable distance from station and very near to food places, family mart. Room is big and clean, with good facilities and shared common area.

Just like the others, it has no elevator so you have to carry your bags up until your floor. But don't worry, nothing like the train stations. Lol
The room is spacious we could open all our luggages and still has space to walk on!

Very basic but that was expected for the price. Bathroom is tiny.
Very basic and a bit tired but great to have 2 separate rooms and excellent for the price. Amazing location close to all the sights in Dotonburi and Shinsaibashi. So many restaurants to choose from right outside the door.

There is no elevator in the building. There is only 2 washing machine (with dryer option) for all rooms. Room should be ready on time. No one wants to wait for room after +20 hr flight.
We stayed 2 adult and 1 kid in the room. Room was big enough for us. Beds are comfortable. Toilet and other rooms was clean. Location is great for metro stations and dotonbori area.

Our room was on the fifth floor and no lift so walking up stairs was tiring.
Comfortable bedding. Good location which is close to train station. About 12 mins walk to Dotonburi. Free washing/dryer machine is great. No staff on site but self check in was easy.

We faced some difficulty during check-in, which has been a recurring issue since our first stay, even though this is our second time here. The room code provided was incorrect, we had to communicate and follow up with the owner to get the correct passcode to enter the room. This caused jeopardize our schedule. There is no lift, so we had to carry our four pieces of luggage up to the fourth floor.
This is the second time we've stayed at Shinsaibashi House because of its convenient location near Dotonbori and many famous restaurants nearby. The room is spacious, allowing us to open two large and two small luggages. They also offer a free laundry service.

Steep stairs. Difficult to bring up luggages. Very near nagahoribashi station. Unfortunately their line is limited. This line don't stop at tourist area.
Location is very central. Air conditioning good. Toilet and shower good. Bedding very comfortable. Microwave and dining area is sufficient. Everything is perfect for me. Checking in was super easyyyyyy

Room is small, but that is how it is in Japan. We were not able to dry our clothes properly with the washing machine. We tried few times following the instructions, but no luck.
Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is neat and tidy. Kitchen is great. I would recommend my friends to this property and I would prefer this accommodation if I visit Osaka again.

The beds could have been 2 double instead of 1 double and 2 single, so that will create more space in the room for movement as the room space itself were a little constrain for movement with the luggages around. The laundry net at the common space was torn and the washer just couldn't stop when the timers up.
The common space at level 1 was nice and cosy

The bathroom/toilet is on the small side. No bowls/plates to use in the room kitchenette. Lack of elevator to access the floors. Loud noise disturbance every night in the early mornings with drunk patrons from restaurants and pubs around there, making noise shouting, singing and laughing..
Location. Walking distance to MRT station, shopping and dining areas. And a big Thank You to Ms.Yano (hope I got her name right) and Mr.Liu for helping me send my bag left behind, to the airport to me before my departure. Much appreciated.
