Hong KongOne minor issue I encountered was with the indoor hot spring. The water temperature felt a bit lukewarm for my liking, and while the staff kindly showed us how to adjust it, the process was still challenging. Since the adjustment involves working with the pipes, it’s quite inconvenient to make changes mid-bath, especially when you’re already in the water. It would be great if there were a simpler, more user-friendly method for adjusting the hot spring temperature, perhaps with easier controls or pre-set options, to avoid the hassle of dealing with pipes during the bath. This small improvement could make the experience even more enjoyable.

The environment is absolutely stunning, with serene surroundings that instantly put you at ease. The facilities are top-notch, offering everything you need for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. RussiaWe stayed in mid February. I had some troubles with the heating. AC was probably broken and quite loud, so we turned it off at night. The other heater was the one which uses gas and fire so I was hesitant to keep it on entire night. As a result it was very cold in the morning, but I could have asked staff to help figure it out. Thankfully, onsen still was perfect for warming up :)
This was my first time staying in a traditional Japanese hotel and I loved every moment. The location is incredibly scenic. Dinner was delicious and huge, served in private rooms for each guests. We especially enjoyed the private hot tubs. I couldn’t believe our room it’s own onsen until I saw it! The staff was nice. Room was clean and spacious.

IrelandThe distance from the main attractions such as the floral village. They offer a free shuttle but only for check in and check out, if you are planning to explore, youa re going to have to walk up and down a hill unless you are driving.

The dinner and breakfast was really good and value for money. The location of the ryokan is secluded which is normal for ryokan in Japan but the ryokan provide free pick up service from Yufuin station to the ryokan.

New ZealandThe menues were all in Japanese which made it difficult to understand what comprised of each dish. It would have been great if the menu included english details to understand the type of each dish. I was appalled at checkout having to pay an extra amount of yen 305 to cover the use of the onsene pools. I would have thought this would have been included in the packaged cost, as the people staying would be using the pools.
The accomodation was nice and comfortable. The dinner and breakfast was lovely, tasty and a variety of fresh food. The service was very good.Lovely to be picked up from the station and returned again after checkout.
