Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

After 10pm, to get to the hotel, you will have to walk past a red light district where there are many escorts. Not recommended if you have a child or as a solo female traveller. The room is also relatively small, so do take note if you have many luggages.
Location was excellent, it was 10-15 mins walk to the train station which can link you to the airport, USJ and Nara Park. There is also a family mart just beside the hotel and - 24hrs don quijote less than 10 mins away. There is also a double door which they will need card access after 10pm. Hotel also provided free self service amenities such as slippers, bath robe, cotton bud, cotton pad, towel and etc.

No sitting area at the lobby, walls and hallways were dirty, beds were lumpy, truly a budget hotel.

The room cleaning was not done and when it was it was way below standard. They do one full clean for a stay over 3 days but on the day we booked that on, it didn’t happen and we came back to the room the same just with a change of towels. We didn’t end up asking the front desk for it to be done the next day since it wasn’t done so that’s on us. We also randomly found long hair on our clean towels.
The location is perfect for a good stay in Osaka it’s directly in the middle of everything you need to go to and for night life is perfect as the roads surrounding never go quiet and is always a nice environment. We were in a high levelled room so didn’t hear any sounds.

I hope the reception staff can shows empathy and more helpful. We stayed 4 nights and got two rooms on separated levels. I asked if it is possible for making the rooms at the same level 2 times at the check out time, different days. And I was rejected both times. I understand sometimes it is hard to do so especially at the peak season. But the staff was apparently not checking (there was no other customers waiting) and just said no rooms available.
Location is good. Great value for money. Tiny room but all necessities ready. Cleaning staffs are great.

Was a little used looking, needs a coat of fresh paint and maybe a remodel.
Good location near the river walk area and close to some fun nightlife. Helpful, friendly staff!

Foyer have no chairs. Find the room a little dirty with hair. Used cups are cleaned daily.

They are not cleaning the room everyday. They are just changing the towels and picking up the trashes.
The location is very good. It is in the center of everything we like to go and very near the meeting place and drop off of bus to universal studios.

No Complimentary water bottles in the room
Big storage area for your luggage after you check out or before you can check in. Can borrow an umbrella from reception when it is raining outside.

Room was not cleaned, when I asked the staff about having my room cleaned, they said it’s not possible. This seems unfair for a stay of 3 nights as the main reason I choose to stay hotels is being able to come back to my room and my bed being made, everything being cleaned, etc.
