A beautiful place, traditionally decorated. Perfect for our family of 5 to experience a traditional Japanese home. Close bus ride from Kyoto station, and local food options. Quiet neighbourhood. Wish we could have stayed longer.

There was nothing I would complain about this place. Owner was understanding and there was manuals to help us operate features that were in Japanese. Maybe it would be better if it was more comprehensive like how to use the bath for heating

Everything. This beautiful home was so comfortable, has great facilities, and is in such a beautiful location. I enjoyed staying here immensely. The washing machine and dryer were so handy as well, and there was a wonderful kitchen setup. I was also so surprised that the home had two toilets as well. I loved the location and the smell of the timber everywhere I went.

Overall the property was quite nice and in line with what we expected. The only thing that was a bit uncomfortable is one of the living rooms where the couch + benches fill a bit stiff.

You will get what I like to think it's an authentic cozy Japanese house. The house had a full equipped kitchen and plenty of room for everybody. It has a very nice garden and 2 bathrooms with a toilet and a 3rd one with the bath and washing machine. Super well equipped while in a very nice location.

Not much really - the noise from the street when groups walk past can be heard, but that’s to be expected in a traditional house!

Our only gripe was that the bathroom area does not have any heating -because our stay was during winter and the temperature was around 4-11 degrees C- so it made showering a huge challenge. (We come from the tropics)

The accommodation was very well-furnished and organised. Check-in was simple and easy, and there was a guide book to help orientate us. Cabinets were clearly labelled so we had no trouble locating the items we needed. During our time in Kyoto it rained a fair bit and we were very thankful there were umbrellas we could use. We were able to do our laundry as there was a washer and dryer. There were ample power sockets located around the property and the light switches were very well planned with 2-way switches for the foyer, dining area and staircase. Nao, the owner of the property, very kindly assisted me in booking a taxi to the airport when I encountered difficulty trying to do it myself.

Location is a bit out of the way, but is still the best accommodations i have stayed in thus far.

Beautiful house, with everything you will need. It far exceeded expectations. It is a steal at this price point, would not recommend enough, and Nao-san is a great host.

Amenities and instructions are helpful. Indoor garden was a nice touch! Also, Nao received my luggage and informed me promptly. I appreciate that a lot!
