Owners were super friendly, very communicative (they spoke some English, Google translate was handy) and very approachable with any request we had (they lend us futon with blankets for our car sleepover) Accommodation was nice, clean and tidy. We slept in traditional Japanese styled room with comfy futon. We stayed in classical room upstairs once, both clean. Wifi available. Shared area had fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster/grill, which were enough for us. I think they clean the shared area every day. But there was no cooking area nor plates nor cutlary. The owners were kind to lend us plates/bowls when we asked them. They didnt charge us anything extra for this. Location was also good. Despite the train station being bit further (20min walk), beach and Numazu port was closeby. Shop was located just next door, some small restaurants and convenience stores were around. The best home-like stay we had in Japan so far. We felt really welcomed.

Not very much I didn't like. If anything not having a lock for when you leave felt a bit off but nothing major, especially considering you're probably staying for not that many days in a row.

The staff was really nice, they explained everything and helped me come up with some plans for the stay. They speak some english and we could communicate just fine. I think the place is not meant to stay for many days but it was a pleasant stay nonetheless.

The walls are very thin, so I could hear people in the other room til about midnight.

Traditional Japanese style accommodation in perfect location. Choice of beds either futon style or framed beds. Easy walk from station, near to beach, park, river, shopping, views of Mount Fuji. Owner very helpful with great recommendations of places to eat. Lots of activities to do. Great for running, swimming, cycling, boat cruise which was amazing.

Terumi-san is a wonderful host who called a dozen bike shops to help me find the right spare part that would allow me to continue my cycling journey. I was amazed she would do that for me. I loved the guest house too, traditional style tatami room, all facilities a solo teaveller needs too, quiet neighbourhood and supermarket nearby.

Staff was super friendly, despite the fact that the guy didn't speak a word of English. When I told them my umbrella got stolen (not their fault, it was outside the hotel), I had to insist for the lady not to go to a convenience store to get me a new one on her dime. They are really nice and want you to feel welcome. This is the most authentic hotel I've stayed in Japan. Truly a local vibe.

As it is a traditional house the walls are pretty thin so other guests can easily be heard which can make it hard to sleep. However this is a minimal thing and we would 100% stay here again.

Lovely stay in a lovely location, just minutes away from transport, about ten steps to a local mart, not far from a clothes washing facility and most importantly for us it was close to the water and a lovely park. The facilities are clean, the traditional beds comfy, and having a small grill for rotating and cooking was an added bonus. The hosts were so lovely and made the stay one of our most favourite ones from our time in Japan.

The only thing I can complain about is the water temperature in the shower which was difficult to adjust. The water was either too hot or too cold.

Thee stairs a little steep, they do have a room on the first floor for solo travelers. Be careful if you have heavy luggage. Very doable because we had a strong person in our group. The owners offered to help us up as well. So nice!

I enjoyed the view of Fuji just down the street when we were heading out. The owners greeted us and explained in simple terms how to use the facilities and and the rules very kindly. The facilities are clean and aesthetic. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
