Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location was behind a funpark so had to walk nthrough the park to get to the hotel from train station.Noy near any shops so long walk to find anything.

Not the establishment's fault, but Google and Apple both lead me on a wild route to get here. The roads to the place aren't very good if you are dragging roller bags.
There is a delicious little okonomiyaki place and a Don Quijote within about 1 block.

This location is a good choice if you’re driving. If you’re relying on public transport, it’s difficult. Nice baths, clean, available food choices nearby

It is a ryokan-type accommodation. I have no major negative thoughts (used to stay over at many ryokans before), but the location was initially hard to find based on the map if you drive there (it is the side entrance to Donki-hote super store with unpaved road).

The public onsen they had, had a bit of a strong smell to it as you walked in. Took me back a lil bit and the sauna was out of order.
Loved the private onsen on balcony, was very nice.

I have dust mite allergies and kept sneezing to a point I had to put my towel to cover the pillow so I could sleep

Definitely this hotel is located on the corner of the city and has their own rules and regulation . I found hotel who doesn't allow shoe from entrance all over your stay . I didn't find fruit in breakfast but apart from that it was superb .

There is shared onsen which you can book, so we didn't even use the one in there in our room. Breakfast was nice.

The walls of the room are thin and woodmade, so a few noises during night, also the doors doesn't help with the silence
The place is really nice, close to many restaurants by walking and so many places to visit. The private onsen inside the building was a really nice experience, clean and hot , perfect for winter days. The room was nice and clean and the receptionist was a good English speaker, good point not really usual in Japan

Old property, extremely small toilet with high step into it, quite dangerous for the need of midnight toilet. Overall is clean. Location is not easy to find but there is a Donki next to it which is a plus.

Two twin beds pushed together to make a big one made it very hard to sleep the beds kept separating. The bed sheets had the same problem Two small ones and not one big one to cover the whole bed

The walls are very thin. The hotel acknowledges this and advises guests to be quiet between 10 PM and 8 AM. Unfortunately, our neighbors did not follow the guidelines and were very loud past 1:30 AM, which impacted our sleep. The tatamis are also quite hard.
We liked the small private onsen in (or just outside) the room and the option to rent one of the two public ones, which were larger. The room had an upstairs sleeping area and a kitchen downstairs, along with two toilets (one with a bath), which was also nice. The location is convenient, with several restaurants nearby, and Fuji-Q is within walking distance. The staff was very nice and helpful.

I didn’t understand that I would have to change out the onsen water myself. At first I thought it wasn’t working because it was cold when I arrived.

Countryside homie vibes, very comfortable and pleasant. Lots of stores like Don Quijote and restaurants nearby, very convenient. Staffs were amazing and welcoming.

The Inn is wonderful with friendly staff. Unfortunately, the walls are thin, and people are unaware of their surroundings. Even with the signs posted everywhere to keep quiet, the guests are not following the rules.
The breakfast was fulfilling. Their public onsens were clean. The private onsen was relaxing. It's a few minutes to walk to the Fuji-Q station, theme park, museum and Fujiyama Onsen. The restaurants down the street were quite far - 15 minutes to the Sushi Conveyer belt, but worth the walk!

For some reason our rubbish bins were never emptied. Maybe there was some miscommunication. Also Google maps directions are hopeless but I don't know how the hotel could change that.
The Japanese style rooms were lovely and comfortable. The hotel was nice and new looking on the inside.
