Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt says it's "ONSEN" and it is NOT. It is a low budget motel at its best. Don't get fooled by the outdoor bathtub. It uses plain tap water. Breakfast was extremely regrettable and the facility itself remind me of a hostel. The location is good if you ONLY going to FUJI Q Highland. Access to the train staion was a hassle since we had to get tickets to go through the amusement park with security check for each trip. It is far from Lake Kawaguchiko, Mt. Fuji and other attractions.
I am very dissapointed.

The outside onsen was great! Electric blankets were a nice thing to have on a cold night.

FranceThe hotel is a little far from public transportations, making it a bit hard to access by foot with luggages.
Dedicated and kind staff that were super helpful. The hotel atmosphere is really calm and cozy, making it the perfect place to rest. The private outside bath is an amazing touch that we enjoyed particularly.

Saudi ArabiaMaybe we just happened to be unlucky but our room felt more like a hostel than a villa. We didn't have an outdoor onset (nor indoor) and the room/house seemed in need of a renovation. Breakfast was similar to what you would expect from an Super8 or days inn motel in the US. Simple packaged thing - a bit of a turn-off given the location and all. Internet was really buggy and didn't allow to use VPN ( tried to watch netflix)
Easy check-in and check-out

PhilippinesFree breakfast is available in the form of bread, eggs and cereal, but for those who want a hearty meal, I recommend buying food the night before.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B-self. Most rooms have a private onsen available, and they also have a public bath available which you can block out private time slots for. The villa is also a short walk from Fuji-Q highland with plenty of restaurants and konbinis around the vicinity. They also have excellent English-speaking staff available, ask for Aiko to assist you. :)

MalaysiaThe size of bathroom in our room is incredibly small. Room was too small for 6 people. Breakfast was extremely less choice.
The private onsen is great! We saw the falling snow on our last night there. Cleanliness is great too. Staffs were friendly.

JapanThe instructions for the outdoor bath were a little vague so that should be improved on. But other than that it was perfect.
The room has a private outdoor bath which was amazing. It felt like a stay in the forrest. It was the perfect calm and quiet getaway we hoped for.

Australia- price is double of others. - the location is bad, next to some sort of factory, we only took the taxi. - the bungalow is old, walls are thin, I can hear every single movement from next door. - facilities are bad, no heater in bathroom, can not cook, don't even have microwave or cutleries. - can not use kettle and hair dryer at the same time, the power cannot handle it. - back yard is messy, I found cigarette butts. - security is bad, only one simple lock. - some facilities are broken / needed to be replaced. - simple breakfast, we have been told to have only one bag of bread, one yogurt, one egg per day.
The only good thing I can say is the staffs over there, extremely nice people.
