Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaDB Space was a lovely place to stay at. I was there for 5 nights and enjoyed the atmosphere. It is a house converted into a guest house and feels very homely. I was in a room outside of the main house, which was very private. There is a lovely garden to sit in and good wifi.

UgandaI had the pleasure of staying at DB SPACE recently, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. What truly stood out was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. I didn't have high expectations initially, but they made me feel right at home. I can confidently recommend DB SPACE for a cozy and inviting stay. I look forward to returning in the future!

ChinaStaying at DB SPACE was quite an unexpected experience for us. We joined their parties and events, haha! It's not just a simple guesthouse; it's an artistic space for young people to connect (haha, I even met someone going to Amboseli together). I recommend everyone to stay here, especially if you're looking for a social place to connect, learn about Africa, or get to know Nairobi. And yes, the rooms are also great (decorated homely). It would be even better if the breakfast could start a bit earlier at 7 am! Also, I think providing disposable toothbrushes and utensils on request might be more eco-friendly 😂.

Hong Kongvery good place but the trafic is a bit jam in morning.
The room was clean and tidy, and the best part was its excellent location. It's just a 3-minute walk to the US Embassy, United Nations, and large shopping malls. Unfortunately, I missed their party, what a pity.

it's a guesthouse, but it's actually a hidden gem café! Their coffee is incredibly delicious, and it's my favorite flavor. I highly recommend trying their breakfast and definitely don't miss out on their coffee

KenyaEverything was really up to par
The location was super convenient for all my meetings in the Gigiri and Westlands area and it is nice and quiet, tucked away from the Nairobi bustle but still very accessible and minutes away from any major spots and malls. The food is 🔥. Huan argued it’s the best Chinese restaurant and he is right on the money!!!!

JapanThere was no appropriate (or not at all) briefing up on check-in. I had to go back to the reception by myself with questions. There was no welcome drink offered, on which many of the posts mentioned. Also, there was even no water offered during the breakfast unless you had a drink voucher and appropriate briefing about the voucher was shared beforehand.
The room was clean. Location was good, if you planned to stay in that area.

ZimbabweThe towel were not being taken for laundry not even on a single day, TV was not working through out my stay, ussually l enjoy watching or listening to local radio or watching local tv stations when l am in another country so that l get to know more about that country that is what keeps driving me to come again, also l know Kenya for tea thus l expected a tea facility in my room so that l can have the pleasure and the aroma of tea and coffee around me any time than to crave for it
The place is generally peaciful, quiet, good bathroom facility, good lighting system, very good bed, staff is so cheerful with great hospitality skills, this made DB SPACE my home away from home.

RussiaThe hotel is now officially blacklisted by the UN Security Service. If you're going to the UN in Nairobi, please ask them for the list of safe hotels. All of my money disappeared from two different locations in my bag when I left it in my locked room for one hour. There are witnesses and many other people who know that I could not lose this money any other way. The hotel's lack of professionalism and childish inability to do business caused me a sleepless night and a lot of bother (on top of the stolen money): it took them so many hours to start "cooperating" with the police! So it's their fault which they never conceded (hiring a thief + enabling them by not fixing CCTV for months + not cooperating with the police and NOT HAVING ANYBODY AT ALL IN CHARGE during night hours + zero internal investigation + owners just hiding). The owners of the hotel did not only NOT formally apologize but never properly talked to me face to face or wrote a letter of apologies. They will probably reply and try to gaslight me like "the police neve officially confirmed you were robbed here" Please, if your CCTV doesn't work, there is zero management or security, and you take 5 hours to come down to talk to your own guests when they've been robbed etc.... Two separate services (the diplomatic police and UN security) confirmed that the only way the money could disappear was through robbery from my room. The hotel themselves know but choose not to take any action, at least not towards me. The management and owners of the hotel (LIU YIMENGHAN, Edward Shari, Mark Ambani, and others) are to blame for what happened and how terribly it was dealt with and it's a shame they don't care about the reputation of Kenia abroad, and their own reputation with the UN. Seems quite short-sighted, in my view. I believe Kenia a beautiful country with cool people, but my trip and my impression of Nairobi was tainted.
Unfortunately, I have to leave an all-negative review because I was robbed at the hotel. But some things were good such as the work of the head of catering, Charles. But after what happened the stay was ruined even if other things might have been tolerable.
