Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAs a vegan, apart from offering Indian cuisine, pickings were thin and requests were not well understood. I will mention that packed breakfasts though offered were tending towards impoverished if one was vegan :( Some compensation was offered through a PrideInn meal offer in Nairobi, which was very positively contrasted with that on offer at Flamingo. So thank you for that. Only one restaurant is actually on offer, the other requires paying for even if on half board. The shower water pressure was low and room attendance patchy.
Most of the staff were courteous and friendly. Some. went out of their way to try to make my stay a comfortable one. I must mention Eunice in this respect and one of the Jemimas.

Saudi ArabiaThe flies.
The main area dining had an influx of flies one day but they remedied it shortly after. The food was good with some sort of variety each day.

United StatesThere is nothing I didn’t like about this resort.
This is the 2nd time my family has gone to this resort & both times were fantastic. The resort itself is a 10/10. The grounds are beautiful. The pool is great. The staff goes above and beyond. The food is great & has a great variety of choices. I have no complaints about the property at all.

KenyaThe room only gave us one item each eg slippers despite the fact that we were two guests in the room
- [ ] Very good reception, smooth check in, great service from Cynthia who informed us about the all inclusive package - wouldn’t have known otherwise, we were able to upgrade to this package and this completely changed our stay , we were able to relax and enjoy all the activities within the hotel without worrying about where to have dinner and all as all meals were included as well as bottomless drinks and snacks! - Great food I liked that they tried to change the menu every day at the buffet - [ ] Had too much fun at karaoke on Sunday night - [ ] Animation team puts in the work - Calvin Eunice, Keith and team - entrainment every night👍🏾 really great that they have an activity every night, you can never get bored it there, my favourite was karaoke on Sunday night. They also put on dinner and a show outside one of the nights we were there - [ ] They also have water activities during the day such as water aerobics and water Zumba, there are games as well such as Foosball in the lobby and table tennis near the pool so there’s always something to do - [ ] A big shout-out to the animation and security teams! I misplaced my lip gloss during karaoke, and when I informed them the next day, they went out of their way to find it and return it to me personally—such impressive service. - [ ] The hotel has great security on the beach, with a barrier ensuring only guests have access, I could leave my belongings on the sunbeds while swimming in the ocean. I also appreciated that they serve drinks at the beach but only when guests are present—if you step away, the security guards literally watch your drinks. I found this extra level of security very reassuring. - [ ] Relaxing massage at the spa, they could improve on the ambience in the spa for instance by having dimmer lights - [ ] Comfy room, clean, though we were two of us but we only got one pair of everything one pair of slippers, one dental kit

IrelandThe tv in the room could be bigger and maybe become a smart tv because just limited to the tv channels and some were of poor quality. Maybe a greater selection of meal options at night for example Swahili pilau which I would of liked.
the breakfast and dinner were very nice. The location the night entertainment the staff and the complimentary 4pm tea. the events organiser Sachita, such a great guy and helpful with everything we needed. The checkout lady Asia very nice and helpful. The Gym instructor and water polo guy Slim Shady ( Mr Muscles) very nice also. the spa treatment was amazing thanks to the staff there also. The pool very nice also and the restaurants like Istanbul. Pavilion overlooking the Indian Ocean amazing also.

United KingdomOnly thing I didn't like but it's my personal opinion that you can pay little fee and get in to have a wonder around or lunch or dinner or just use swimming pool is bit strange,so at times it can feel like bus station. But it's only my personal opinion as I haven't seen it elsewhere before. Otherwise place is gorgeous and everything about it.
We loved our stay. If u like quiet less busy place like Diani, Shanzu beach is definitely place to go and Prideinn Flamingo is best hotel along that stretch of Shanzu beach. Ambience is fabulous. KenyaQuite pricey for me because I have two kids age 3 and 7 - they share the room and eat almost nothing but I'm charged like 50$ per kid. Some things to note - no bathtub in room. I think there is no bar which we can sit in the pool and have drinks.
Loved everything! Room interior is simple and comfortable with all amenities. Bathroom modern and clean with full amenities, big shower with hot water all the time, hair dryer. My room ("superior room" as per booking.com with one double bed and a single bed; we were a couple with two young kids) had a balcony and a beautiful view of the ocean overlooking the garden and pool on one side. Swimming pool is nice and big with an island and bridge and a mini waterfall type feature which is great for standing beneath it. All the staff are exceptional in hospitality and helping and caring, special thanks to all the staff; waiters, cleaners, reception etc everyone; they are so welcoming and helpful. The food was really really good, breakfast was excellent. All the buffet meals had nice variety and great taste, I enjoyed all the meals. Their beach has the softest sand. The beach and pool side has gazebos and different types of beach beds and beach swings hanging beds to relax. Can't wait to come back again. They have night shows and adult/kids activities during the day but I couldn't do all that coz stayed just one night.
