Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

KenyaRooms were musty and even a room change did not fix the issue. The alcohol offered on the all-inclusive package was of poor quality (cheap brands) and was not able to utilize the offer.
Child friendly, great staff.

UgandaThey cheated me of my room the frst night after I had explicitly explained the room I wanted, later after complaining they gave me the right one. Rooms are too far away from everything, they could invest in carts. The food though needs some adjustment. The rooms are tooo small and not that appealing for such a price and their standard, they could use investment in good interior designers.
It is really beautiful. It is so easy to locate and ts very exclusive. And the all you can eat buffets from breakfast to dinner. The beds are so soft and comfortable

United StatesThe room was somewhat run down. The bed was not very plush. All of the furniture was very old. The AC worked, but couldn't be turned below 24. Overall, the room was not up to international standards.
The food was generally better than I expected. The staff was incredibly friendly and hard working. The all inclusive package had lots of drink choices. The pool was very large and spacious. Safari Inn and Moiz Boutique were easy to walk to.

United KingdomI was hugely disappointed with the food. Hot food was generally cold and the offering was a buffet. The Blue Lagoon restaurant didn't have the same quality menu as before and was run as a weird mixture of all-inclusive cafe and a la carte. The a la carte menu was mainly ordinary fare, burgers, pasta, etc. Out of our eight nights, we left the hotel for three dinners and one lunch to eat in the Jahazi at Serena Beach Hotel which was fabulous. The Customer service girl, Fendi, gave us very confusing information on several occasions, we told her we had eaten out and she seemed very perturbed by this. The next day when we told her we planned to try the Blue Lagoon she said we could not have dinner there as it closed at 6 p.m. every day. We then visited the restaurant to enquire and they said they were open till 10 p.m. 7 days a week. When I mentioned this to Fendi she asked who had served us, and which staff. I got the impression she was trying to intimate that they should not have served us. I asked why she wanted the information and she said it was all a misunderstanding. we were given much better help from Hope and Joy the other customer service girls. I would never return here because I expect a better standard of food on my holidays and I found the daily interrogations at breakfast a bit intrusive. There is no need to question guests each day if they are happy, surely unhappy guests will inform the hotel without prompting We felt each day that we had to keep saying we were happy just to avoid the ongoing issues of the food
I have known this hotel well from previous visits between 1997 and 2008. It is now under different ownership. I was still impressed that the bathrooms have been updated and the bedlinen is much nicer. The pool is fantastic and the pool area is now excellent. The best thing about the hotel was the staff, wonderful helpful smiling service (apart from one who generally cheesed us off and was tricky, to say the least.) I wish to point out exemplary service from Henry (pool), Maleka (Bar) Lorna and Juma (restaurant) Hope and Joy (customer service), and our room girl Ruth. The people of Kenya are always a joy I find.

United KingdomThe hotel rooms are tired and in need of renovation. Our bathroom in particular was of a very poor standard. Rusty taps, the toilet looked like a crime scene! Whilst it is all clean it doesn't look it as so old and unkempt. The pool towels were of better quality than the bathroom towels which were grayish and fraying. The fridges in the rooms are old and rusty. We even looked at other rooms which had been renovated but still same rusty old fridges. The huge sports bar was always empty. The choice in the evening was 2 outside bars (one you have to pay for drinks even if you are all inc) where danger of getting bitten to pieces, or the sports bar which is so unbearably hot and empty. Would benefit from having one place to sit in the evening with air con, may attract more people. There are no sunbeds allowed on the beach so if you like a beach holiday this is not for you. An all inclusive resort but you have to pay for ice cream at the pool?!?! It's 2023 and it's a family resort, unbelievable! Despite their own website not making it clear, you have to pay for room service. Had to almost beg for an iron but no ironing board available. Was told its not included in superior room. Not what THEIR website says or booking.com. There is only one block of rooms near the pool. All other blocks are up a lot of steps and quite a way away if you have mobility issues or, like me, often popping back and forth to room. Having to sign for drinks all the time at an all inc is a new one on me. A hairdryer attached to wall in room with a 2 pin plug but the plug socket for it is a 3 pin? Nah me neither ha ha.
The staff were wonderful. We loved the food. Snacks available all day too. You won't go hungry. Pool was nice and clean and pool attendants constantly checking pool for debris etc. (Not quite so with area around sunbeds unfortunately). The drinks were fine and plenty. Whilst I have written much about the negatives we did enjoy our stay. The hotel just needs to up its game some. It could be a real gem with a good renovation and a bit more attention to detail but it needs to be clearer on its own website about facilities so people aren't misled. Just want to say again that the staff are awesome and really made our stay.

Kenya- Unattentive, unbotherd staffs - On Friday, when checking in (before I pay), I explained to one Joy, that I have a credit note of 2,019/= (last year I was at Flamingo Paradise Resort same time and they told me I can use it whenever) and I would like to use it now. She accepts, then ushers me to make payment. I am given the bill of my stay, I swipe my card. I ask if my girl will get a birthday cake like she got at Flamingo Paradise last year, she gave me a flimsy excuse about other corporates who had several birthdays and they had issued alit of free cakes and the best she can do is a slice 🙄. That didn't sit well with me and since I didn't want to be entitled, I negotiated the 1kg cake price and we settled for 2,500/=. I gave Joy my girl's name and the age to written on the cake. Again, I went ahead and paid there and then. Then I realised that the 2,019/= credit note wasn't factored in, in any of my payments yet I had clearly stated to Joy I wanted to use it, and she was there. I was just pissed off, like she wasn't attentive nor considerate about it. I told her, I specifically told you I want to use that money, now I need a refund. She called the Front Office Manager, Mr. Ephraim, which I explained everything to and he assured me, 'it will be sorted' before the end of the day. I went ahead and checked in (Room 626). I spent the rest of the afternoon till late in the evening chasing Joy and Ephraim about my credit refund and it was never solved. - The fact that our 1st night was suppose to be special, having a 13yr old and 1.5yr old kids 👉🏾 had asked for a table to be reserved like thrice knowing very well it will be intimate midst every other reveller, the birthday cake will be presented DECENTLY, came down for dinner, was met with one confused lady hostess.
