Beautiful camp and most amazing staff. We felt super welcomed as a Family with a 1.5 year old kid. Safaris are amazing. They are super flexible and we saw all the big cats. Not to be missed - breakfast in the bush. The service is outstanding, every night they put a hot water bottle in your bed. It's this kind of attention :-)

the wifi didnt quite reach our tent

our stay was fantastic. for all inclusive they served very varied food and at dinner a 4 course a la carte meal. the tent was beautifully appointed with all amenities we need, including conditioner. staff were extremely friendly and tried very hard to accommodate us. the location is excellent, right in the park so you don’t need to drive far to see animals. the game drives included were fab, we only shared with one other couple, so it still felt quite private. we saw a lot of different animals

While the food was good, there could have been a bit more variety from one day to another.

The stay was amazing! we were 4 adults and 1 child.From arrival we were welcomed by 5 staff who directed us to lunch and we were taken care by Sheila ( waitress ) from day 4 to last day! she was kind,fun and accommodated our daughter special meal requests.Bless you Sheila and all staff who took care of us. Ezekiel our driver who took us for game drives and educated us a lot and organised our visit to Maasai village where we Learnt a lot.Thank you Ezekiel for all the memories. To housekeeping ladies who made our rooms and also got us hot water bottles before bed and wake up calls with hot drinks. To reception,bar,pool all staff who took care of us we appreciate a lot and the last day we had a special dinner set up by the pool which was so special! it’s a lot to write but thanks to all staff we deeply appreciate and we will be back.

excellent staff, above and beyond helpful. Samson is an outstanding game driver-we saw EVERYTHING!!! we’d seen so much that by the end we were looking for very specific things-a kill, a leopard, etc. just exceptional!! we were lucky to be paired with him. friendly, extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. Metrine in the restaurant was similarly exceptional-remembered all our tastes and preferences for a large group of 7, and seamlessly delivered care every meal for 4 days without a glitch! Shed remember how we liked our steak, or a preference for no potatoes, all within 1-2 meals-just outstanding!! she was friendly, very personable, a fantastic host!! as were her helpers Shillah and Pauline. thank you all, Duncan at the bar, the front desk ?Daniel? for helping us figure out the bill, and payments at the end…everyone was great. thank you for a very enjoyable stay!!

Mara Intrepids is an incredible base to explore the vast beauty of the Mara! Located conveniently a 5minute drive from the Ol Kiombo airstrip, from the moment you arrive Duncan, Elayne and the team are dedicated to creating a peaceful, wonderful experience for you. Ezekiel, our experienced driver and guide shared his knowledge of the animals and landscape over multiple morning and afternoon safaris. Metrine, Geoffrey, Pauline, Daniel and the fabulous chefs serve a variety of tasty meal options, and the room stewards are so kind and attentive waking you up with a morning tea/coffee pre safari, and providing hot water bottles in the evenings. amazing location right on the river, surrounded by lush green grounds and wildlife, lovely friendly team, we highly recommend Mara Intrepids Tented Camp to anyone wanting to explore the Mara.

The food sometimes was quite average, but that wasn’t an issue for us as it wasn’t our priority for this trip.

Mara Intrepid Tented Camps went over and above for us throughout our stay.The tents themselves are gorgeous - they have everything you need and are very comfortable. The staff were all super helpful, friendly and accommodating. They made us feel very welcome. The game drives were amazing! The accommodation is right in the middle of the Maasai Mara and we saw so much wildlife. Our guide Ruben was fantastic. As part of the package, we had all inclusive food (often three courses each meal time) and there was loads of variety. If you fly direct, the accommodation is super close to the airstrip and they pick you up free of charge. There were lots of lovely additional extras like the early wake up calls with coffee, and the hot water bottles at evening which really made the experience. On our last night, we had a private dining experience that the staff surprised us with which was just the cherry on top of an amazing stay.

Amazing staff, incredible hospitality and attention to detail. Sheilla as a waiter and Dennis as a driver were simply amazing. recommend you ask for a room overlooking the river. We were able to change and that’s why the trip was so great, first we had one in the bushes. now we were woken up by hippos in the morning 😅 Beautiful place and and the best safari I have experienced (been to Naivasha Amboaei and Serengeti before)

morning tea service failed to bring tea on two consecutive days. need a tea bag with hot water to make tea!! shower was leaking and drain blocked.

We felt water should be included with the meals and more readily available. we went to the village to meet and learn about the Masai way of life, really interesting and so friendly, got to see a dance and inside their home, however there was no price on the board but expected to pay about $25 when we got their to the locals which felt a lot. Would have loved breakfast or sundowners out on the drive but was extra $50 (obviously happy for the beer extra) but felt a lot when breakfast already included.

The tents were gorgeous, loved it was on the river (and we had a resident hippo outside). Philip who looked after us in our tent was fantastic, loved the coffee wake up. the food was good, nice variety. loved having the drives included and 3 a day, we got to see so much. Paul was amazing at showing us all the animals and taking us to new places. Brilliant we could bring kids (a lot of places don’t allow) , they were loved the drives and Diana was great in kids club making bead bracelets with them between drives. super close to the runway so really easy for pick up/ drop off.

Everything was good, nice location very close to the airstrip. Staffs were friendly, we had vegetarian options for all meals. Game drives were good, saw a lot of animals. We had the river facing tent and we saw hippos.

showers take for ever to get warm, so much waste of water this is really an issue and should be improved!

nice locatiion on the masai mara, lot’s of wildlife. beautiful spacious tent great staff! special thank you to sheilla who waited us every day and did an outstanding job. also our driver ezekiel did a fantastic job and spotted many animals and knew a lot about them. nice food, not a big fan of buffet but the evenings were a la carte so very nice.

The location was perfect. 2 minutes from OlKiombo air strip and you were within the national reserve. Our guide (Sakut) was incredible and we saw everything we wanted to see and more. The food was amazing and we had a lot of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free. The staff were incredibly helpful, including Kenneth, Kevin, and Bonface. They were flexible about how we wanted to do our game drives. If we had any concerns they were addressed immediately. The rooms were great. They were clean and comfortable and we had hot water bottles because it gets quite cold at night.

If I could score higher I would. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious and plentiful. With excellent service. But the icing on the cake was our game drives with Joab. We can’t recommend him enough! Superb guide full of knowledge and care. I can’t wait to come again. Thank you to everyone at Mara Intrepids for the visit of a life time. Siobhan

How about buffet meals.

A very well run camp, the staff are very attentive and nothing is too much. The camp is tidy, well situated and very comfortable. Our guide Paul, was very knowlegeable and found us lion, leooard and cheetah every day we were there. Gregory and his team deserve praise for a very well run camp. Thank you, we will be back.
