Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustriaThey could put more plants - more greenery in the area of the standalone bungalows. It is very hard to keep the grass green there despite irrigation. I think the music in the restaurant was not so much too our taste, but we love peace and tranquility.
The Nomad is a really lovely place. The food was very good, the staff at reception very friendly and professional. The whole set up with the swimming pool surrounded by greenery is lovely. Also nice to watch the different monkeys climbing in the trees. The beach is truly stunning, and while before booking I had feared the beach would be too busy, this was not the case. Of course when you go for a walk you are approached by beach sellers, but they accept a no. We had a standalone bungalow, with our own reclining chairs and lots of space around, very pleasant (that probably explains the high price, but for us that privacy and peacefulness was what we had been looking for), beach sellers walk past, but they leave you in peace when you say no. We also appreciated their environmental efforts.

Amazing location with truly endless, white, clean sandy beach, like a paradise! Excellent breakfast. The very first place for me in Kenia (after two weeks) to get a really tasty coffee and properly prepared poached eggs! Personnel very helpful and patient in all situations. I felt so safe and protected. Thank you so much for the quick and complimentary transport to the Diane Hospital!

United KingdomThe Grill restaurant - it was good one night, but poor the next...but that just may be the supplier... the concept and the flavours and choice offered is great. Just having consistency - but then again, that is an issue worldwide with all restaurants...
Breakfast was amazing! We like the 'new' style breakfast with buffet continental component - allows us to pick and choose the fruits, juice, cereals, pastries and breads we would like, but still hot breakfast available. One thing I must say, the staff are exceptional at The Sands, smiling, friendly, not intrusive but extremely attentive. Special call out to Rally, Phoebe (at the buffet section), Salim, Jacinda, Nelly... to name a few of the staff who interacted with us almost daily... everyone though is wonderful...including the grounds staff who maintain the beautiful property, to the guys who clean out our rooms to the reception...for us The Sands at Nomad feels like home from home but with all the pampering of a 5* holiday. And of course, Luca and Guilia who's 24/7 attention to the hotel and all that goes on within is most appreciated. You can never miss to see Luca discretely walking around and making sure all is well... really appreciate that coz we know we are being constantly looked after! And most of all to 'Pluto' .... who is an absolute sweetheart. The only thing is, I don't want everyone to know about The Sands.... is that mean?! :-)

RussiaTo be improved, 1/ insect control - fumigation works for some hours, required to provide the one plugged into the socket, which should protect during the all night (we were bitten by the mosquitos and had sleepless nights due to this..); 2/ sea food - no lobster, gambash, or oysters in the menu => it's Kenya, which is famous for.. but not on the menu! Why?!
The best beach at Diani. One of the best beach bars - restaurants in the area with varieties of drinks and food. Fantastic breakfasts.. Friendly personnel.

United KingdomCould use a slight renovation here and there but nothing dramatic.
The location of the hotel is stunning, the beachfront seems the best out of all the adjacent hotels. The layout of the structure is great, you never feel like there is a crow around, truly relaxing and private experience. The hotel staff are lovely and kind. The management is extremely friendly and helpful. The Executive Chef makes magic food and is a great guide on hotel activities. Another point worth mentioning is the GM and all hotel management and staff who treat the ‘adopted’ local dogs and cats as if they were family. Special mention goes to Pluto the dog who is the star of the hotel.

NepalWhilst the breakfast buffet at Nomads Beach Bar was very good, other meals could be disappointing. The Smoked sailfish Carpaccio was delicious, but the pizza, despite an Italian chef, was tasteless. We did not try the barbecue or teppanyaki alternatives and were informed that the signature Indulge restaurant was closed. Overall a disappointing dining experience.
The Sands at Nomad is an exceptional, world-class resort located on a prime site on Diani Beach, Kenya. The resort is surrounded by tropical forest which ensures that there is no outside noise pollution. The forest is home to a variety of creatures, including at least 2 types of monkeys (Black and white Colobus and Syke's or Samango monkeys) Dik-dik, Bush babies (Grester Galago) and numerous species of birds. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable, ranging from standard Sea Breeze rooms to private villas. I had a Beach bungalow - ideal for single travelers or couples, whilst my friend had a standard Sea Breeze room. The Beach bungalow had the advantage of being right on the beach (literally about 15 m from the pure white sand) and benefitted from the sea breeze, whereas the Sea Breeze room, despite its name, did not get much benefit from the breeze due to tall trees which blocked the view of the beach, but had a great ambience. Both rooms were air conditioned, so the breeze was not essential. There are a wide range of watersports and activities on offer.

United Arab EmiratesLike in Zanzibar, the beach is not private and everyone wants to sell you everything, “No buy” is the best answer, but there are tens of local people wandering around and waiting for you to come out of the hotel area to the beach. So if you want to have the privacy, go to Sands island hotel nearby instead Security personnel asking for tips for nothing Safe box opening to 000000 code for everyone despite the code you set by yourself
Best what you can get in the area, fantastic choice of wines in the restaurant, good minibar in the room, a lot of sun beds, very nice pool. Staff happy to help, there are a lot of service personnel, never felt crowded or left without attention though the resort was fully booked. Very nice scenery and garden in the hotel, beach cottage is very nice and unusual to live in with great view of the ocean

NorwayBeach boys where annoying and almost made it impossible to go swimming in the ocean or walk along the beach without being bothered.
Stayed in one of the bungalows (and it was great, specious and with its own sun beds and direct access to the beach). The staff where exceptional, service minded and friendly. Great restaurants, fantastic location at the beach, and all you need at a resort in terms of service, amenities, etc. Gym was very good and well equipped. Stayed for 9 nights and had full board. The meny (and wine list) at Nomad (restaurant) is diverse with local and international alternatives. Also a lot of healthy options. Great food overall. This place comes highly recommended and we will come again.
