BeachWalk Koh Rong is a beautiful beachfront resort. Staff met us at the pier and took our luggage so we could enjoy the 5 minute walk along Long Set Beach to the resort. Staff were always smiling, friendly and helpful. Breakfast you order off the menu which is fine as it's all you really need. Nice swimming pool right in front of the restaurant. You have your own beach towels and lovely straw bag in your room to use for the beach or by the pool. The beach is very clean with loungers you can move into the sun or under the palm trees. It was peaceful and so easy to drift off to sleep. Our room was nice and clean but if you ever upgrade I'd suggest more sturdy furniture than wicker and tile the shower walls. I dropped my towel on the floor in the shower and it was yellow from paint on the walls.

Limited facilities. No one service you on the beach. Very good for relaxing but you need to bring your own beer from the restaurant

The hotel was in the perfect location. The room was very comfortable. The staff were lovely, very helpful and bent over backwards to cater for guests needs. The food was lovely.

Checkout was a trifle tedious….the creditcard machineS failed to work…I imagined that I may have had to wash plates for a day!

On arrival to the port in Long Stay ( no announcements made in ferry…be attentive) i was promptly met by one of their staff who took my suitcase by moto to the property. I only had to walk the 8 mins or so on the beach to get there too. Louise at reception spend a lot of quality time explaining the excursions/ activities available, local resturants before showing me to my room. The room, though initially small was finally ok ( only returned to sleep and shower!). Included was a minibar, excellent wifi and a sliding mesh door to keep out mosquitos. What was truly amazing was the cleanliness….not even a grain of sand on the floor!! The staff were amazing….I had a problem with the door look which I report and a mechanic turn up like 8 mins after to change the lock!! The shower was in a separate room and was as hot as you like it! Breakfast was à la carte and with a reasonable choice. As were the laundry prices…$3 a kilo!! I opted for a day private fishing and snorkeling both which were amazingly enjoyable and reasonable. Enfin, forget the swimming pool….the beach is literally 30 seconds away…i went twice at sunrise. Absolutely bliss. Paradise on earth!!

In the interests of continual improvement I offer the following observations. These are not criticisms in any way and are intended to help a superb hotel get even better. The staff do a great job in keeping the beach clear of litter. We tried to help out and would have appreciated a few more litter bins on the beach. Currently, there is a big bin at one end which is a bit of a walk from the other side with an armful of litter. But then I am quite lazy! The paddle boards and kayaks are great fun but they take a battering and have some damage. Nothing serious but I wonder whether a better storage and repair solution would help? My final point has nothing to do with the hotel but here is a good place to warn travellers to Cambodia who intend to use US Dollars. Establishments in Cambodia only accept pristine US dollars. Any notes with even small tears, discolouration or dirt will be rejected. We couldn’t use about half of our holiday money even though it came from a money exchange at Heathrow Airport. Make sure you check your notes!

BeachWalk is a superb hotel with amazing staff in an idyllic location. It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. What makes BeachWalk stand out is the perfect balance between value for money, great location, excellent food and wonderful staff. We travelled to Koh Rong Island in the so-called rainy season in early August. The weather was perfect! There are occasional heavy rainstorms every other day that last no more than an hour but the rest of the time it I is sunny and warm. The sea is beautifully clear but the storms do kick up some sand which can take a few hours to clear. The only downside to the rainy season is muddy tracks if you decide to go mountain biking or scooter riding away from the main concrete road. We stayed in a sea view bungalow at BeachWalk. It was lovely, clean, quiet and modern. The glass front looks out over the beach and has a veranda for relaxing as well. The food and drink at BeachWalk are excellent and great value for money, especially during happy hour. There is a mix of western and Asian menus. We ate at the restaurant every day and we were very happy! The massage therapist is excellent but you need to book early to avoid disappointment. We also hired a scooter and mountain bikes on various days to explore the island. Koh Rong is quite small so half a day is more than enough. The hotel can also arrange boat trips, snorkelling and diving. The night swim with luminous plankton was the highlight for us. Finally, the staff were amazing. They were on hand to help with even the smallest matter and were polite and professional at all times. It was the staff that really made our holiday excellent.

No tv in room when we wanted to watch the Olympics or no games or common room with tv so had to go to town. We thought the food was a bit hit and miss. Also the places they provided to dry your clothes were shaded so nothing dried over the 2 nights we were there

The pool and outlook on the beach is magical and you won’t get there many other places. Very relaxing holiday

I thought it was expensive compared with some of our other stays. It was wet, so we didn’t make the most of the facilities - loungers, kayaks etc. Also the weather meant we couldn’t do the trips, which also seemed quite pricey.

The room in a bungalow was large, clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and met us at the pier to carry our bags. Lovely pool, good breakfast and glorious beach on the doorstep.

5/5 recommend! Kitchen is great, expecially wings but also khmer food. Prices are low compared to other hotels. Rooms are clean. Room service was very good. Staff is friendly and helpful, speaking english. Good service at restaurant. Beach is beautiful. Theyll arrange tour for you to see plankton and go fishing. I also saw some just going swimming from the beach. I want to find beachwalk playlist, very good music. Beach is clean. Very good location. You can also find peace and quiet. Massage services available at very low prices. I loved the outdoor gym. I will be back.

Amazing room - so quiet, clean and amazing aircon. The outdoor shower was a cool experience! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic with lots of options. The beach was the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been on!

Although very comfortable, our room (13) was a little bit cramped - this was in contrast to the generous size of the bathroom and the outdoor shower - and, being very picky, we would have liked a few more coat hangers. Also, we did enquire about using a couple of the hotel's bikes to explore the island. Unfortunately, we were advised against this as they were not in good condition. This can no doubt be easily rectified.

BeachWalk's location towards one end of, and right on Long Set Beach is excellent. It has a lovely pool and we enjoyed using the paddleboards that are provided free of charge to hotel guests. The breakfast and other meals provided are also of a very high standard, and all the staff we met were a credit to the hotel.
