Leaving this beautiful place

One Beach Resort was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the most amazing beach with clean sand and crystal clear water. The beachfront villa was dreamy! The bed and linen was clean and very comfortable, pillows great. Bathroom was super clean, hot water and good pressure. Daily housekeeping provided. One Beach has a wonderful dining area - fantastic views, good restaurant, the wait staff super friendly and attentive. We loved our stay here and would definitely return/recommend.

Lol no action. Best place to eat was the Sky Bar up the hill, where Art and his family do excellent lunches and dinners. The hotel has good food to, just pricey.

Quiet, relaxing, and extremely boring. Perfect if you want nothing to do but sit on the beach in a great place with great sand and water.

Not much I didn’t like. The pizza uses ketchup instead of tomato sauce so we didn’t order it again.

It’s our second time staying here. The private villa with pool is so worth it. We love the beach, of course, and the staff are very friendly. Compared to other resorts nearby One Beach’s restaurant is more upscale (cloth napkins) but it also has a foosball and pool table. They have kayaks you can use for free.

Staff , couldn't be bothered. Too busy playing pool to clean the swimming pool. Had to ask them. Food overpriced and average. Much better at tube resort next door.

The restaurant meals were ok but not amazing and given the lack of choice around the hotel we had hoped for better. Staff were very slow to serve drinks, shame no service at the beach.

The peace and tranquility and access to the beach

This is a beautiful spot that is not over populated with tourists... yet. The breakfast was good. The bedrooms were large and the bed was comfortable. I had a hard time with the bathrooms in that there were small ants in and around the sink and my shower leaked. One night we were without water but only for a short time. The entrance to the pool is through the restaurant which isn't ideal. Yet the deal we received when we booked last minute was phenomenal and the staff were truly amazing. The beach is excellent and the water quite calm. You can walk out a long way. I would return.

We arrived a day after storms had washed away a lot of the sand, this however wasn’t the issue. Every day we picked up rubbish and plastic washed up on the beach and put it in a pile by the path, eventually after 6 days the staff at the hotel cottoned on and sent teams out to clean up the beach each day. In addition to this, the resort decided to replace the beach and a concrete pathway using a massive digger right outside of our room at 6am for 6 of the 9 days we were there. We did complain but were offered no compensation whatsoever.

The bathrooms need a revamp, to match up to the quality of the rooms. The service in the bar/ restaurant is abysmally slow, in the evenings the staff are more interested in playing pool than serving you. There are 3 restaurants in total In Sandy Bay, so a bit too quiet for 5 nights.

We booked a one bed villa, and was upgraded to a 2 bedroom. The villa was lovely large, modern and clean with a comfortable bed. The location was right on the beach, beautiful. The reception staff were very helpful when our ferry to Koh Rong was cancelled and we had to book another night.

Location was not ideal. Food at breakfast was not identified. Just three places to eat around that location.

Lovely hotel but not easy to navigate to get to. Make sure you know where the location is as it’s not near a pier. It took our previous hotel to contact them to arrange where we should go to be picked up. I wouldn’t necessarily book this due to its location. I think I’d rather be on Saracen Bay. Sandy beach was an okay beach, but you really want to be closer to access Lazy Beach and Sunset Beach. The staff were limited with English so we struggled a bit trying to get a taxi just ($5 per person return) to saracen bay. But if you don’t care about seeing the rest of the island, it’s a great hotel with a good breakfast. Make sure to order an iced latte at breakfast (it’s included).

The pool wasn’t working for half our stay and we never had decent hot water. If you plan to leave the resort, it takes some coordinating.

Trying to get to this beach was tricky, and the help from the hotel wasn’t great. We ended up going on a bit of a wild goose chase to get from Koh Rong to this spot, and I wasn’t feeling that well at the time so it was really unpleasant. I was trying to speak to the hotel about it, and they kept telling me to get on a certain boat, but when I approached the recommended boat they wouldn’t take us to Sandy Pier. I feel like the hotel should provide better instructions, or just help book a private boat taxi or something. Staying there would concern me a bit if I had a flight to catch or no spillover days. The staff weren’t very attentive. You always had to try to get their attention and chase them for things. We asked if there was a boat trip to find bioluminescent plankton, and they never came back to us. It was absolutely fine, but I’m just surprised this hotel is considered 4* The beds and pillow unfortunately really did my back and shoulder in and weren’t comfy. I was desperate to leave in the end to get a better night’s sleep.

The location of this hotel is really beautiful. The beach is lovely and so remote - it’s just two or 3 resorts along it. The aircon worked well and the shower was good. Lovely quiet night’s sleep - no music from other hotels or anything. We enjoyed the food from the restaurant, and they also have a pool table, table football, and nice tables. You eat just next to the water so you have the sound of the waves.

Cleaning was not very good,., and that you have to ask for coffee every morning and that you feel like you shouldn’t ask for a second cup of coffee. I liked the area and the basics,. But I think a lot of people will focus more on that it might be a bit overpriced and maybe not 4 stars. But I enjoyed my stay.

We loved the location - a beautiful, quiet sandy beach, perfect for chilling. We had a room facing the beach with a small patio and a great view. The staff were very friendly and helpful, answering all my questions.

It's a little isolated. If you are wanting somewhere with shops and bars, this probably isn't the pace for you

Not all of the villas have loungers. Just those closest to the beach. It could be quite busy at breakfast, with a short wait for a table. There is limited choice in places to eat at this beach but you can visit Saracen Bay by boat. The snorkelling boat trip was very enjoyable but we could have done with more details to better understand what the trip would entail. The hotel could do with more sun loungers on the beach.

Villa was spacious and comfortable and it was good to have shady outside space. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. The beach is quiet and largely free from noise. The terrace overlooking the sea is very pleasant. The ferry form the mainland stops in the bay when the weather allows.

It‘s a bit difficult to reach the island and the hotel. I would recommend to plan a bit more time to go to the island and back. Also because the boat companies are not always reliable

Location is perfect, next to beach. We chose the bungalow with beach view and it’s so beautiful. Thanks to the service, people are very polite.
