Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

JapanMaybe a bit in the middle of nowhere ? But honestly you pay 1$ tuktuk and you’re at the beach and restaurants.
Everything was good. Very cheap, good price value. Also they give me information about the boats to go on Samloem island and even arranged tuktuk to the pier in the morning. Close to the beach and have an ATM in the lobby.

New ZealandThe staff at the restaurant were very helpful and lovely, but we didn’t go back after the first night. The bedding looked new.
It appears to be a previous resort catering for mainland Chinese tour groups. Many of the signs were painted over with the Easy Backpackers signage slapped over them. It is quite far away from the centre of town (which is another story altogether!) and the road in was under construction when we arrived so the tuk tuk drivers didn’t want to take us all the way in which necessitated a 1km walk with luggage. The resort was mainly deserted, we were almost the only people staying there. They only accepted cash which meant I had to use an overpriced ATM in the lobby which should have been made more explicit. The restaurant was very over priced (but it was difficult to leave the resort) and my daughter got hideous food poisoning. This necessitated a trip to a pharmacy and we were considering taking her to the hospital. The room smelt musty and the beds were planks with thin mattresses. After my daughter projectile vomited everywhere in the bathroom, I bought antibacterial spray and wipe and deep cleaned the bathroom and it smelt much better than when we arrived. Not a great sign. The sink was also about to fall off the wall. We told the receptionist through Google translate but nothing was done about it. We just used it very gingerly. The hotel is surrounded by decaying construction sites and the beach itself is about 5m wide and you cannot swim in the sea because of rips. This 5m strip of beach is made into set up tables where outside guests can come during sunset to take photos for the ‘gram. It’s quite an interesting sight to see but prevents hotel guests from using the tables. The last night there was an almighty rave at the restaurant with ‘doof doof’ music going all night. At 10pm there was an incredibly loud fireworks display which we knew nothing about. No joke, we all leapt out of bed and got on the floor thinking it was gun shots at first. There was also a very creepy guy walking around the resort taking photos of us outside our room or at the...

Czech RepublicThere is no 24 hour desk. We had to wait for a lady to come despite contacting them ahead of time. We were tired from being in a bus all night and just needed to sleep for a couple hours. The room smelled of exhausts. The bathroom was not very clean and the toilet didn’t flush. Upon laying down we realized that we definitely weren’t the first people sleeping in those sheets. We felt something biting our legs and woke up with bite marks all over our legs. Do not recommend. Some of the reviews are definitely fake. Pay a little more and stay somewhere where there isn’t something living in the mattress.
