The environment, the ambiance, the resto/bar and the food are excellent. Rooms are basic but this is what you pay for!

Karma Traders Kampot is a great place to stay for both solo travellers as couples (or group of friends). The rooftop terrasse is super nice and the food excellent. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool area is very nice especially during these hot days. We loved the hostel’s activities: food themes per day of the week, for instance taco Tuesday,… we would definitely stay there again if we come back to Kampot!

Sometimes its busy, sometimes not so much.

During my travels, this was the nicest backpackhostel I stayed in thus far. Nice dormbed 'pods', good food and very nice staff. The best thing though, is the people it attracts. Maybe I got lucky but I've met very nice backpackers here!

The hostel dorms in the garden were a little bit run down. The bathroom was a bit smelly and the front door wouldn't lock. It is a little bit out of the town maybe 30 mins walk, but the taxis are very cheap if using Grab.

It's a hostel with a very good vibe, it seems to attract very nice social people. They have live music evenings and other events. The private room was large and had everything you need. The breakfast was delicious, we ate there for breakfast 3 times and it was good value for what you get. We booked a tuktuk tour through the hostel and it was really enjoyable. The hostel also offered lots of suggestions of where to eat and drink in the town.

Hooks or a towel rail - the. back of our bathroom door had fittings where hooks used to be.... More sun loungers at the pool

We had a fab stay at Karma Traders - a great in between of chill & upbeat hostel vibes...we felt like we had a mini holiday on our long term travels! All staff are warm & friendly, no transactional feelings, they like to get to know you and you feel welcomed 🙂 Simple, comfortable rooms with soft mattress & pillows Good AC & fan combo, hot water & good pressure in the shower Free water refill dispensers placed around the site WiFi was a little temperamental at times (could be number of users), however the owner checked connection to reboot The pool is great with bar open for food & drinks in the daytime (however could so with more sun loungers & parasols) Laundry was reasonable price with 24hr turnaround Sunday quiz night & Taco Tuesdays are great events, despite there being live music on the rooftop, you couldn't hear it in the private rooms, so we slept well Although 10 mins out of town in a tuk-tuk, you don't miss much in Kampot itself, you may as well make your way through the delicious menu at Karma Traders. French toast for brekkie is a winner with the French press coffee & sweet milk (amazing iced too!) If we return to Kampot, we would definitely stay here again thanks for a relaxing stay

Its a bit outside of the city center, but the town is not that big and there are TukTuks and also Motorbikes available so thats fine. Also to get down from the top bunk is a little bit tricky (if youre small) because the last step is way off the ground

The staff were super friendly and helpful, we asked them a lot of questions, and they answered everything. We also got help to book our individual tour we wanted, that they didn’t sell (whole day - National Park, pepper farm, caves and salt fields). The Tacos and food in general were amazing and they have plenty of vegetarian options aswell. The view from the Bar is pretty and the slepping pods are good for privacy.

The bathroom are not very comfortable, the floor was constantly wet because the shower is not seprated from the toilet. Also the staff at the reception didn't seem very informed, we asked 4 times about our tour and they couldn't tell us at what time it was starting the day after.

The beds are very comfortable and you have a lot of privacy. Food is good and the swimming pool is nice.

It's about 30 min walk from town & $1 or $2 in Tuk-Tuk, which isn't a big problem, it just means you probably eat more there. Unfortunately, they didn't have any pushbikes. But generally, in Cambodia, you are much better off driving a scooter anyway, so this isn't unusual.

Great pool and bar; great rooftop bar and food. It's a fun hostel to meet people, they have events and live music but not too cheesy/ manufactured fun. Cool expats (not the sleezy kind) drop in, so I didn't feel too out of place being slightly older. The dorms with the pod/boxes were comfy, private, and with mod cons and lockers -- decent air con too. It's a contemporary hostel, where the owners know what they doing -- both to make it profitable and be a smooth good experience.

It was an amazing experience. The staff explained each and every details of Kampot and Kep and felt like no need of any further details. So supportive. Beautiful place. Music in the evening.

Private room with fan has no air conditioning but staff explained this on arrival, plenty of fans given. Gaps below the doors let hot air in from outside. Bathroom shower was not great didn’t have a lot of pressure

Amazing food for reasonable prices, super comfy dorm, especially the pod dorms with their own fan in every bed, and just a lovely place to stay. The staff are all amazing and super helpful with giving information about the area. It was cheap to rent a moto through the hostel as well. Overall, a really relaxing place to stay with lots of areas to chill out and a pool to enjoy as well. Everyone I know who has stayed here has loved it and always stayed longer than they anticipated.

Everything - the staff were so friendly and welcoming, the dorms and common areas were clean and comfortable, there’s a pool you can chill out next to or a rooftop bar, a great balance of fun and chill. This is easily the best hostel I’ve stayed in, I’d recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again!
