Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe love wildlife but I appreciate some people might struggle to share with the lovely lizards. They never troubled us but they do make you jump if you aren’t expecting them! We also forgot to collect our snacks from the bar when we left so some kind of ticket or reminder that you handed over your food would have helped. We left behind quite a bit! Oops.
Everything. Incredible setting. Loved our super basic home. The tractor ride made it even better. The crackers journey made it all the more special. Definitely chose the cleaner side of the island. The bar and staff were fabulous every day. It’s the place we all think of when we say ‘Cambodia’ despite staying in many, many locations. Just perfect. Thank you!

CanadaThere's nothing to dislike here, except that more and more people learn about it so it might get harder to book lol.
The beach is stunning, the vibes are so chill, it's not packed like everywhere else, you can snorkel right off the beach, food is amazing, staff is kind and helpful. This is our third year in a row, and this is our favourite place on earth.

AustraliaNot a complaint. But you should be aware that the old bungalows are very basic, you are open to the elements. They are building new ones, but it won’t be the same experience. Sleep under the mosquito nets as cabins are not sealed. We had a few creepy crawlies. Once you get used to this. It is 100% worth it for the location.
We stayed for 9 nights in a very basic bungalow right on the beach. This location is the best on the island. Peaceful blue water, great walks, snorkelling, and resting amongst nature. Possibly the best sunsets in the world! The staff are so wonderful and you can sense a real family ran business who look after each other and you during your stay. The food at the restaurant is the best we have had in Cambodia, try the bor bor for breakfast! Honestly, every meal was amazing. What an adventure, you will be being picked up on the tractor when you arrive and looked after to move to your next destination. We can’t thank Lazy beach staff enough, we loved our stay. Hope to be back one day.

Amazing location, bungalow was on the beach in the middle of trees. There is a terrasse with a direct view on the beach, and the beach is remote and quiet. Service is great, we’ve been picked up at the ferry terminal directly.

United KingdomSea lice in the ocean. Apparently they’re not present in all seasons/weathers, but I was getting hundreds of vicious tiny bites when I swam, which made getting in the water a really horrible experience. Also noisy building work and renovations are going on, which really spoil the peace and quiet. (We asked to be moved to a different bungalow to escape the racket.) The original bungalows are rustic and beautifully designed, with sandy paths and native trees growing wild inbetween. The renovated ones are doubtless more modern, but the aesthetic is quite different and a lot less attractive. The new paths and planting are twee and suburban and this would definitely put us off coming back here. Despite the staff’s best efforts to clear it away, a lot of rubbish washes up on the beach. If you walk along the beach away from the buildings , there is rubbish everywhere.
A beautiful spot, far from the tourist crowds. Great food. Hardworking and lovely staff.

United KingdomThe only thing to be aware of is that the Wi-Fi isn’t great in the beach bungalows. Didn’t bother us as we were there to disconnect and if you did need something then it works well in the main area (the beach tavern). Just be aware of what you are going to - it is a place to disconnect, unwind and enjoy being close to the sea and nature. If that’s what you are looking for you will Iove it!!
This was a really special and unique place to stay. I will remember my stay and the memories I made here for a long time! Lazy beach is a really unspoiled, tranquil spot on the island and if that’s what you are looking to experience then look no further! It’s clean and safe and perfect to relax or snorkel. The accommodation has a lovely atmosphere, the beach tavern is full of friendly people. The accommodation consists of small wooden beach bungalows/huts, which really let you feel like you are close to nature. Our beach hut was situated right on the beach and we could hear the waves lapping up onto the shore all light long! Just beautiful. Also had an unobstructed view of sunset/sunrise and we had plenty opportunity to view the bioluminescent plankton in the sea at night. Just amazing! The beach huts are rustic and basic (don’t arrive expecting a modern hotel room!) , but very comfortable and clean. They have a good shower in the bathroom and power sockets/lighting. The beds are four poster beds, and are clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels provided.Huge mosquito nets are provided to cover the beds so you don’t need to worry about them! The terrace area at the front of the bungalow is lovely, we had two comfy lounger chairs and two hammocks. So plenty of choice where to sit and enjoy the views! The communal areas were also brilliant. The main beach tavern serves delicious food and has a huge variety on the menu. There is plenty of space to relax and everyone is super friendly in there! The staff were lovely -especially the Irish manager who tried her best to help with everything we needed. They have snorkel gear for rent as well as pentanque and volleyball on site if you do feel like a bit of activity! There are also group activities such as walking tours of the island, although we sadly didn’t stay long enough to join one. The beach tavern also sells beach clothing and basic toiletries as there aren’t other shops nearby.

Superb peaceful location. Very well managed outfit. It's the best beach on the island but it's also walkable to other bays too. Restaurant food was very good. Free drinking a water supply.

ChinaErmm.... .... I really can't think of anything. Honestly the only slight stress was figuring out the bus and ferry situation. Lazy Beach was perfect... we wish we had stayed longer.
A great beach with soft (and squeaky!) sand. There is coral reef within walking distance (either end of the beach <5mins from our hut). 🐙moray eel, porcupine puffer fish, crabs, needle fish 🐟 🐠🐡🦈🐚🪸🪼etc etc etc And the food was BANGING! 😁

United KingdomThe bungalows really need a total revamp (which it looks like they are doing). Currently they look and feel unloved and therefore feel overpriced for what they are. The front bungalows have amazing views which is the redeeming feature. Hopefully once new huts built and old ones refurbished then it will definitely be the best place on the island to stay.
Loved the main area for eating and drinking - had a lovely chilled island vibe! The staff were always smiley, happy and helpful and the food was excellent. The best bit the location… totally idyllic, wonderful beach and stunning sunsets!
