The restaurant on the other hand, do not eat there!! The food was so bad. And the WiFi didn’t work in our room, but elsewhere it worked.

THE LOCATION! I mean wow! It was absolutely breathtaking. And there were great local restaurants just around the corner with amazing food! We recommend La Cocina Mexican, and Sunny Turkish Fast Food. The rooms were nice and up to standard, spacious and clean. But the WiFi or our data did not work in our room, which was quite annoying at times. The booked a private room, and we were happy with that. We heard that the hostels had the best standard here and they were right!

Twin room was uncomfortably small for two straight adult men to share. At $60/night, it was much more expensive than equivalent rooms in Siem Reap or Phnom Penh ... and it didn't include breakfast! About that: The espresso machine was broken for 3 straight days. Service was confused, showing the inexperience of several of the servers.

The location on a broad white sand beach, only a couple of hundred metres from the boat landing, was great. The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Bad wifi but that is a problem as a whole on the island. Some of the bar staff ladies were quite rude, often laughing when you ask a question or just cutting you off and speaking to someone else.

Comfortable, practical and clean. You'll be sharing the bathroom facilities with a lot of people, however, there's staff throughout the day to keep up with the cleanliness standards. I just wish they had dorms with less bunk beds.

Mosquito everywhere!! Which isn’t the properties fault and they definitely try to do their best but we were bitten alive (with the rest of koh rong!)

Whole room was great and air-con was amazing which was super needed on this tropical island! Reception and cleaning staff were superrrr friendly and helpful. The shower was also good.

Deal breaker for me was that there was no fridge and so on that basis would not return. The outside area just faced a wall and had no sun so not good for me.

Location was very good and the rooms were clean and of a reasonable size. Not much space but fine for a few days. Had an outside area although you have to ask for seats.

well my friend got her shoe stolen either by a human or a dog and we haven’t been able to get it back which is very sad, couldn’t book another night because of nestival sad to miss that but still had a great stay

The room was not cleaned in the 4 nights we were there. So many mosquitoes in the room but that is a general issue in Koh Rong I think. Given that it's a brand new hostel the rooms could have been a bit nicer and more comfortable. The balcony is unusable due to mosquitos and lack of somewhere to sit.

Location location location. Beautiful beach to chill at , it was so nice to have this as a base. Good variety in food and drinks too, and decent service. Overall we didn't regret staying here despite the limitations as the location and vibe were really good.

The bar/food staff were very pleasant, but it was quite difficult to communicate with them as only a couple seemed to speak good English. The number of showers - there weren’t enough, which meant they were difficult to keep clean. There was always a line for the showers.

Good few mosquitos around the dorms and private rooms. Cleaners need to close the door when cleaning rooms to stop them coming in. Quite expensive for the private rooms, but worth it for a few days at this wonderful hostel.

The rooms were a close proximity to the beach, the pier and restaurants. The private room was a good size. The air conditioning worked well. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There’s obviously some kinks that haven’t been worked out yet with the property. Communicating with the staff was challenging at times, and we had to wait for our room for some time after 2 pm. Also, there were several issues with orders etc. with the restaurant. It sometimes did feel like we were a burden to the staff!

The location on the beach is amazing! They have a bunch of chairs and loungers, too, so it’s so easy to just stay and chill out on the beach. The dorm rooms were pretty good, and the showers had a good water pressure, including warm water. Wi-Fi worked surprisingly well! Overall a good stay, would probably return.
