Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyGreat location, directly next to the kings palace, national museum and the go out district and Mekong boulevard. The room was very tidy and a common space with a kitchen was attached to it (shared with one more room). The place is currently being renovated and not 100% completed yet but it didn't impact my stay or the room itself at all. Fully recommended

IndiaIt's newly converted from a hostel format, so there are still some details lacking, such as facilities for hanging clothes, a bedside table and a reading lamp. The hot water heater (geyser) in the bathroom was newly installed and so complicated that it really should have come with an instruction book, but otherwise the bathroom was in good operating order (all new fixtures).
Brilliant location, very close to the national museum and some good coffee shops. Room was very quiet. It's a very small property, with only 2 rooms on a floor, Staffing appears to be minimal, but the 2 staff were very helpful.

United StatesThe "balcony" I paid extra for was a small box too small to place a chair and covered in pigeon droppings. the view was straight into the tenement across the alley.

United KingdomAircon wasn’t the best and leaked near the end of our stay. But this shouldn’t distract you from staying here.
Very spacious and clean room. Great location, only a stones throw away from the Royal Palace. Nice staff. We stayed through the Water Boat Festival so it was very lively around the river.

United KingdomExtensive building work going on every day. This is okay mostly because you tend to be out during the day. But the building works started at 7am, even on Saturday and Sunday. And it was incredibly noisy drilling and hammering, etc.
Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Very quiet outside after midnight. But…

SwitzerlandVery disappointed with our experience. We booked the Budget Double Room. The pictures do not match the actual room at all. We were informed that only one of the Budget rooms looks like this, way more fancy, spacious and has a window. Our room was about half the size, had no window and it was not extremely clean. The bed was broken - one side of the frame (the footer) just fell off and the bed was slanted, as the slats of the bed were completely broken. We didnt have a window, so the room felt weird and we couldnt get any fresh air. The toilet flush didnt work all the time. The woman from the reception was very kind and tried to help but the bed is not fixable and so nothing changed about our stay. She informed us that many have complained about the different pictures to the actual room, however he doesnt want to change the pictures on booking. Our room is not worth the price.

United KingdomThe details say that they accept Visa, they don't. Checked in and paid and then was told there was no water in the room. Was later offered a separate room to shower in but not an alternative room with running water. The room was dirty, floor needed a clean, air con was mouldy and smelled. Bathroom and balcony had stains and were also dirty. Outside reception smelled badly of urine. Other guests were complaining about extra charges and incorrect bills. Customer service was lacking.

VietnamPictures on the website did not reflect the actual rooms, corridors, bathrooms. We were escorted to a separated building, no elevator, the lobby smelled like garbage (noise during the night accessing some walk-in freezers). There is an access code to enter but the door was left opened most of the time. Rooms have windows to the corridor only. Seating arrangement right below my window where people could go, seat and chat all night. Did not feel safe as door have very poor lock system.
Location is probably the only positive point

CambodiaNot worth the $20. Sketchy. It's already down an Alley way, my room wasn't attached to reception. I assumed it would be upstairs but was taken to another building. It did have a pin coded locked door but it was weird. The room was not as pictured. There's was 30cm of space at the end of the bed and far side, 1M between the wall and other side. The window was to the hall way. It was tiny, felt claustrophobic. Luckily checked in at 7pm and left at 5am. The walls were dirty too. Did not feel comfortable.
