The dorm itself was very old & hadn’t been looked after at all. There was also no social events on so it wasn’t very easy to meet anyone

Absolutely filthy, there was sand on our bed from the previous occupants. No hot water. Barely any water pressure. Frequent power cuts. Air con with a broken control, which meant it was either arcticly cold or roasting hot. Broken and grubby common areas. No offers to clean the room. The people running it had the air of having given up. Very, very overpriced at $40 a night. For a few bucks more, you could get something with a touch of class nearby. I understand that this is a remote island, but charging Cambodian resort prices for this dump is out of order. I travel extensively in SE Asia and, don't mind paying if the standard and service are good. This was one of the most expensive and worst of anywhere I've experienced. Our 'Deluxe' room was anything but. The doorlock didn't work without much fiddling, and there were big gaps in the door, like inches, that let mosquitoes in. Bad vibes from the local staff because we are tea-totallers. Ignored us for ages when we tried to order food. Food bland and overpriced. The staff were treated like performing monkeys by the Europeans running the place, and I overheard the staff being told to encourage people to drink more. All in all, a depressing vibe. We ate elsewhere. The garbage strewn ruins of burnt out evicted local bars did not make for nice scenery. The beach directly outside was used for local boats, and I was scared to swim there, least I end up like Kristy McCall (look it up!) Had to walk further up the besch for a swim. Paradise lost.

The island is nice, the sand white, the music from the bar bearable. All the smaller places on this island are being shut down to make room for larger corporate development, so zi had a degree of empathy for a small, struggling business like this. The English and German guy running the place attempted friendliness, but I could see that they were disappointed that we didn't want to join in with their 'drinking contests' and spend more money. There was even a 'drinking scoreboard' on the wall! Very sad. The offer of free refills for our water bottles didn't lessen the disappointment that this place was. Their parting shot was that they had heard that there was a new protected marine area, and one of them was going to see if he could open a reggae bar there. The dolphins are horrified.

The spot is amazing! Every morning you see the magnificent beach and the staff is very nice an friendly! I met some wonderful travelers and stayed with them for a couple of days. Best Island I stayed at! Enjoy!!

No hot water. Bad cleaning. No AC (it had broken down temporarily according to staff). 2 bathrooms but the flusher in one toilet didn't work, and the door on that one didn't close.

Location is great. Great staf, very understanding and helpful. Big bed, with curtains for privacy.

It is a good hostel front to the beach, the share room there are a comfortable beds and clean bathrooms, there are a very good food also and the desk boys so many gentle and happiest! We recommended!

-Have to pay with cash. Only atm in this area charges 10%. No card machine to pay for a hotel stay is a joke. Every other restaurant/bar we went to let us use card. -AC wasn’t great -Bed not very comfortable with just a small fleece blanket for double bed. -Bathroom was very aged, could do with updating.

I can tolerate a lot as long as the place is clean and maintained properly. But it's beyond words how filthy and disgusting this hostel is- outside yard and inside dorms & bathrooms. I've travelled a lot and stayed in weird places before, but this was some new experience.

Everything. The food, stay, cleanliness and the staff was super friendly too. There are multiple properties that do no give you air conditioner in the same price. Avoid them. This place was clean, had an air conditioner and was pretty social too

Amazing my beach side location. Really good food: ate breakfast lunch and dinner here. Exceptionally attentive staff. Decent pool table! Room was spotless clean upon arrival. We could check in early. Nice shower.

The bathrooms in the rooms smelled awful. They made the whole room smell terrible, and it was hard to be in the room with that odor. The owner did not seem to be phased when told about the bathrooms and didn’t seem to care to clean it or make the situation better.

The room wasn’t the cleanest. The staff were 50/50. Some were really lovely. But some felt like they didn’t care and were just trying to make money. We were told we would be dropped off for free to the port i think by the owner and then one of the guys tried to charge us. We also were charged for water refils even though we were staying there which we werent made aware of. It just felt like some of the staff didn’t care or acknowledge we were staying there. This isn’t aimed at (i think) the owner. Or some of the staff because they were very friendly but overall we had mixed feelings about the stay.

Property was in a good location. Right on the beach. We stayed in the private bungalows. The owner was very friendly.

The location is amazing, you’re walking out to one of the best beaches I’ve seen in South East Asia, pictures do not do it justice, there are small fish that swim around your feet as soon as you go into the water. There’s wifi in the dorms which is nice, and they also have lemongrass oil burning in the evening to keep it smelling fresh. Their rice bowls are so SO good (my fav was the gyros bowl) they also do a really nice coffee frappe and frozen passion daiquiri.
