Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United KingdomI have been coming to Siem Reap for nearly 30 years, since it was a sleepy little town with only a handful of quality places to stay. Despite the intense competition now, in a much developed town, The Jungle stands out as an utterly wonderful stay true to the original spirit, hospitality and kindness of the Khmer people. It’s incredible value for money with a beautiful pool that is, unusually, bigger than it appears in photos. It’s a place where you can listen to geckos, tree frogs and songbirds while you sit under a mango tree for a rest after a dawn temple visit. I was thrilled to have chosen it for my first return visit in ten years - I had last stayed at the FCC but would rank the Jungle over it any day. That the staff are amazing almost goes without saying given Khmer hospitality but they were particularly wonderful, kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Tuk tuks were seamlessly arranged at very short notice; laundry collected and returned with quiet efficiency. I can’t speak to the food as we were out sampling the city’s delights but the breakfast was fresh and lovely and there is a very nice and thoughtful complimentary afternoon tea with fresh fruit and snacks. Thank you all for making this return so special and memorable.

United StatesThe Jungle (despite its name) is an oasis in the heart of Seam Reap. Top notch facility with a fantastic pool, great service, and nicely provisioned rooms. There’s a gratis tea service in the afternoon , and drinks and food can be delivered to you poolside. After exhausting oneself at the Angkor sites, it feels great to lie back and enjoy the pool scene in the afternoons. The amenities really are first class but the staff is the greatest asset.

SwitzerlandReally amazing place, the staff is super nice. The swimming pool and the garden are great, there are lots of birds around. The restaurant is also quite good both for breakfast and dinner. And don't hesitate to book tours with them, the price is same as elsewhere but the service is better.

United KingdomDepending where your room is, there was a restaurant nearby with music until 11pm but if you bring ear plugs it is not an issue. I had some early trips so I was in bed early
The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The room was very big with warm water to shower and helpful toiletries. The aircon worked perfect and they spray the rooms with bug spray so I did not get any bites and usually I get bitten a lot. They do a simple breakfast to go (water, bread, pastries, bananas, eggs) if you have an early start. You can also get takeaway coffee for trips (at cost) and there’s water available to fill up your water bottle for free. The pool has separate towels available you can use and sun loungers with umbrellas. The pool is big (20-22m ish) so if you want to do laps you are able to. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I like that they take on interns to train young staff in hospitality and let you know to have a little patience with them but everyone was perfect to me. Very central location, 5-10 min walk to pub street and all tours pick you up from the hotel. Be aware there is a 2% charge for card payments as is standard in Cambodia and you must bring pristine dollars (no fold, fade or mark). I had a lovely stay and will stay again if I come back.

United StatesThe stay at The Jungle was nothing less than perfect! The rooms were very clean and very comfortable, the bed mattress was the perfect firmness for my back. Also, it was extremely quiet on the premises and from within the confines of my room. We did have several meals in their dining area and they were quite good, and the menu presented a nice variety. I cannot say enough good things about the hotel employees, from the staff to the manager they were all accommodating, genuinely kind, and looking to help you in any way possible. From this weary traveler, I thank you Jungle for making our stay in Cambodia so memorable! I will not hesitate to return!

United KingdomThat I couldn’t stay longer.
A beautiful low rise hotel. The rooms are very characterful with Khmer cups and teapot, steel refillable water flasks(free). The domestic staff rigorously make up the rooms daily. All the rooms have beautiful views of the gardens and pool. The pool was really lovely and surrounded by a pristine garden with many varieties of trees and flowers. Towels and sunloungers of top quality. The restaurant area was very tastefully appointed and the food and breakfast were very enjoyable indeed. The property is situated along a quiet street but within 100m you enter the town and within 1km you are at the river. Probably the most outstanding feature of this hotel are the staff. Every one of them in every department were so friendly as well as being very professional and efficient. Mr Phat, the manager, embodied all these great characteristics. He is a true credit to his profession. Fabulous level of service. You have to love Cambodia. Other nations need to learn a lot from the culture and society here.

GermanyThat we had to leave after five days.
Everything! The Jungle is an oasis for the mind, for the body and for the soul. Some specific atmosphere lies over that place. Rooms comfortable and every day so clean. The pool and the poolside in the middle of that wonderful maintained jungle lets you escape. Special highlights are the people working in that place. Unbelievable hospitality. The food is always fresh prepared, the chef only takes local and fresh ingredients. Ordering a lemongrass Gin and Tonic we observed one of the staff going in the garden and cutting two pieces of fresh lemongrass. Just one example!

United KingdomThere’s nothing not to like!
The hotel is in a quiet area yet only 5 minutes walk from the main streets and activity. Our room was huge and had AC, fridge, tea and coffee facilities and free snacks. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the shower was good. The hotel restaurant serves great dinners and a good choice of breakfast items. There is a fantastic swimming pool which we sadly didn’t get time to use. Staff are wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Many are young trainees learning their trade in the travel industry and are a credit to the manager. This is a new hotel and the manager is working hard to ensure he is catering for the needs of visitors. We organised a tuk tuk tour of Angkor archaeological site through the hotel which was excellent.

Switzerland-
The room was big and comfy and had a nice view on the pool/garden area, the breakfast and the (included) afternoon tea with snacks were delicious. The pool area was the perfect place to cool off in the afternoon after touring the Angkor Park. Speaking about the tours, I did tour the Angkor Park two days with Mr. Seng from the hotel which provided an extraordinary service! The Manager Mr. Sok Phat as well as the whole staff in this hotel were truely amazing. Overall perfect stay in Siem Reap - will come again!
