Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location is near a very popular beach so if you're on a budget every thing is relevant. If you stay 5 km outside the popular spot you will get much better value for money

A little bit shabby, but for this location and price – it's a big DEAL!!! 💕
They have a normal breakfast with eggs, ramen, bread + choco paste, apples, cereals + milk, coffee & tea. The owner provides water in bottles. Maybe I forgot something, but it was pretty good! The normal room with big windows. The owner was really funny and friendly.

I really liked the view from the window, beatiful bridge could be seen from my bed, very nice owner, we could leave our baggage for few hours after checking out, nice breakfast 👍

Location a bit a far from metro but the bus station was near and near to the fish market so there is fishy smell
Service was good, and quite place, breakfast and 2nd floor kitchen was so useful and money valued. Window view was amazing

When we got there, the room seemed to be not cleaned. I believe the owner just flipped the bed sheets. The toilet bowl also wasn’t cleaned it had stains from prior renters and there was hair on the toilet.
I love how the location was really close to the Drone Show and all other prime locations. It was also definitely affordable. They also had many food available and water so you don’t have to worry about buying food. However you just have to clean up after yourself. The room also has heated floors which is a great plus especially how the weather was so cold outside.

Nothing much.
Very friendly owner, more than enough food at the accommodation. The place has clean rooms and close to the gwangan beach. Definitely will come here again next year!

The windows in our room were very small and there were no curtains so light shined through. Only a minor inconvenience though!
Great location. It was walking distance from Gwangalli Beach and an easy bus ride from Haeundae Beach. There was a decent selection of breakfast as well!

The staff wasn't at the desk most of the time. I arrived early & waited but then called Pil to tell him I was leaving for lunch & would return for check-in. I was given wrong key but luckily guest wasn't around when I came to the room. I wasn't informed about breakfast procedure but I made myself egg sandwich.
The bed was very comfortable. I had great sleep during my stay. Great location - very close to Gwangalli beach. It's great that umbrella & picnic mat were provided. Free breakfast was good too. Try blue shaak cafe - their shaak latte was so delicious.

On my 2nd visit the kitchen was a little chaotic but when it revisited it was a lot better
It’s located 5 minutes from a beautiful clean beach and 20 minutes from the subway. Good lounge area where you have breakfast. Very good host

No complaints.
The Hostel offered free breakfast with the kitchen fully stocked. The owner was very welcoming and kind and went above and beyond to drop us off at Bexco since we were participating in the Give 'N Race Marathon. He also graciously allowed for late check-out with out extra pay.

Room took some time to heat up, but once it did it was quite warm.
Great location in Gwangalli close to all the bars, restaurants and beach. My room also had a nice view of the ocean and the bridge!
