Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The landlord could clean the air conditioner (it seems to be a little dusty) since when it is getting hotter, opening the window may not be enough.
Cheap but good. If you want somewhere to take a nap and spend most of the day in Seoul city town, then it is the right place. Moreover, the hostel is near to the subway, really.

The property is located in a very accessible area. Getting around Seoul was a breeze and the hostel is located really near a subway station.

Considering the place, I cannot complain. Worth of price. Just tell them that you will bring big luggage and ask for 1st floor room. Otherwise you will get room in 2nd floor where the stairs quite steep.
Close to MRT station, you can reach in less then 5 min. However, if you bring big luggage, it's going to be difficult as there is no lift/escalator to exit- lift only available up to B1. Another plus point, it also close to bus stop. It's juat 2 min away from 7 Eleven. The host was nice and very helpful. Ask anything to him, he will help.

The location is excellent, whether taking the express bus or the subway, it’s very convenient. The owner is friendly and even helps with luggage, which is amazing. The room has heating, so it’s perfectly warm in winter.

The room is small but still value for money.
The location is very accessible, lots of convenience stores and restaurants near it. They are responsive in my inquiries and very friendly when we checked in and out of the room.

Close to Gwangjang market and Dongdaemun shopping area. Although, as the owner told me, the wall is thin so you can hear your neighbors, it did not bother me since everyone kept quiet in this property. It’s a hostel with private room (and a private bathroom), we keep the rule and we can enjoy a nice budget stay here. The owner was very kind!

Cramped bathroom.
Clean En suite bathroom Good location, 5 minutes walking distance to Dongdaemun History and culture park metro station. Very friendly receptions / owner. Good value for money. Provide both air condition and heater.

kitchen open only at 9am. if you want to heat your food,you need to go to convenient store nearby to heat them if you need to go out early in the morning.
very near to subway station but the exit is so much stairs. not like other subway station.its also near bus station.so i prefer travel with bus if i stay here again.

There seemed to be lot of financial penalties for things like late arrival, late collection of luggage after check out, and a long list of other things.
Great shower, really clean room, quiet at night, comfortable bed, and close the 6001 airport bus stop.

Wi-Fi didn't work.
Really liked the hotel location, very convenient for walking. There’s also a subway station nearby. Overall it was pretty clean and cozy.

Be aware that during more humid months, towards late spring/summer, the room gets very damp and hot. Even though the AC works great and there is a possibility to open a window, it was hard to keep room air comfortable for sleeping and being there during daytime. Also, the kitchen is closed for late evening. No space to properly hang clothes.
Amazing location with close tranportation stations, several nice little restaurants and convenience stores within a walking distance. If you bring heavy suitcases, be aware that the nearest metro station has a looot of stairs and the hostel also has only stairs. The neighborhood is not touristy and quiet. Little rooms, but we even had two big suitcases and it still worked out fine. AC worked great. They provide extra towels and a kettle for each room, as well as shower gel, shampoo, slippers. Did let us leave our luggage before checking in. The host is always at the property during daytime, very friendly.

No complains! The room is small but it’s very reasonable for its price.
The location was great for accessing the city, being near DDP station exit 7. It was also near an airport limousine bus stop, Baiton Hotel. The boss was very kindly and helped us with whatever enquiries we had and they kept the place really clean too. Everything worked well, the beds were neither too soft nor hard, and the room had good soundproofing from the outside (not between rooms, but people were considerate).

We would suggest at least a coat rack in the room.
The host is super nice and helped us a lot during the stay (again many thanks). The room was very clean and many good restaurants/combini in the surrounding. Plus: not too touristic!

A bit basic
Very nice and helpful staff, very close to metro station, easy to commute. Clean rooms, clear towel everyday. Very basic equipment but you can do 1 laundry for free which is very nice.
