Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesLocation is hidden. Taxis have hard time to find it. No elevators. We have to carry all luggages up to the 5th floor! Breakfast is only bread and cereal. This is the only breakfast provided and there was one morning where there was no breakfast at all! Towels given are towelettes, not a bath towel. Room stinks. Train station is a good 10min walk. Tried cancelling stay because half of our group cannot make it due to Covid, but was not allowed to do so. Was advised that we need 2wks notice to cancel. They don’t give exceptions even the cancellation reason was valid - we didn’t need a room for 6 pax anymore, only 3. They also expect guests to pay cash! If you use your card, then a hefty 5% of your total is charged! I had no other option but to bite the bullet! A total rip off! Definitely not worth what we paid for!
Somehow descent and clean for a hostel. Staff is very helpful and speaks really good English.

United StatesNothing I can think of.
The location was easy to get to, especially because they sent a guide to get from Incheon to their location. Once there, the beds were comfortable and was an actual mattress. They had welcome in snacks that was super cute.

SwedenPerhaps one of us is getting a bit too old to sleep comfortably on such thin mattresses, but I know we what I was getting myself into and it wasn’t that bad. The neighbours to the hostel could have been in a different trade but the hostel itself is very, very good value for money.
All staff were exceptionally responsive, helpful and just generally very nice. They helped us with everything we needed help with or advice about.

IndiaThere is no lift. One has climb steep stairs with his/her heavy luggage. Breakfast is average (cornflakes, milk and packaged juice, that's it). Room sizes are also too small.

United KingdomThe vicinity of the red light district, it was sad to see women being exploited in this area, but is had nothing to do with the property itself.
We had a Deluxe Twin and everything was great, the room was clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooftop space was great and breakfast was simple but nice. We appreciated coffee machine being available all day. Great value for money. Highly recommended place to stay.

AustraliaThe mattress was very hard and we had guests next door who would talk loudly past midnight. But all the positives outweigh the negatives. We would definitely stay here again.
Super convenient location - close to metro station & walking distance to Gwangjang Market & Naksan Fortress Wall trail. Great shower, super clean room & toiletries provided. Breakfast on the rooftop was decent. Free water to refill our bottles. The welcome and goodbye snack was a nice touch! The manager John was amazing and super helpful. He went out of his way to help us solve an issue with one of our flights. We noticed he kept the breakfast station filled at all times. You will be very looked after if you stay here! Thank you John! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

SingaporeThere's hardly any room to navigate including the toilet. A few more inches here and there and I would have given the hostel a very good rating.
The location was great. Room was clean. Near night market. Don't miss the $5 fried chicken restaurant a short distance from the hostel.

PolandNothing, great value for money.
I loved my stay in the hostel. I traveled with my friend and as two females we felt very safe in the hostel itself and in the neighborhood. We were never bothered on the streets despite a couple of bars close to the hostel. The hotel is located very close to the metro station and the night market that we loved. Many shops and restaurants in the area. The room was big enough for 2 women with suitcases. Bed and bedding surprisingly pleasant. You can change towels daily. Breakfast was limited but satisfying. you can have it on a nice rooftop terrace. But the highlight of our stay was staff, especially John. Everyone spoke good English and were helpful and kind. The direct bus from the airport to the hostel is a huge bonus.

DenmarkNo elevator in the building - breakfast at 5th floor. The room was a bit smaller than we expected (with the amount of luggage we had with us) but it worked out.
Incredible nice staff and service. Nice and clean room, fridge provided, A/C worked great. Breakfast selection were as expected. Location was great if you don't want the hustle and bustle other parts of town can be.

United StatesThere isn't an elevator, but the staff did help me carry my bags up the stairs so it wasn't too much of a hassle. Be sure to write down or take the outside door code with you if you plan to be out past 10 pm. It was my mistake, but I forgot to take the code before leaving the first night and unfortunately wasn't able to get ahold of anyone to get back in when I came back and 2 am. Again, my fault, not the fault of the hotel, but just something to keep in mind.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. They gave me a lot of information about the area and were helpful with directions and recommendations. The hotel was in a area with a lot of good restaurants, so finding somewhere to eat as easy. It was also close to a subway line and several. bus stops, so easy to get around the city. The bed was probably the most comfortable of any hotel I stayed at in Korea. And the decor and vibe of the room was really relaxing, so I got sleep while staying here.

South KoreaThe walls are pretty thin so if you have troubles sleeping if it's not completely quiet you might consider another hostel since it can get loud here. Also the mattresses aren't that big. For us it wasn't a problem and we still felt comfortable but for someone who has a sensitive back it might not be comfortable.
We stayed for one whole week in the hostel and really enjoyed our stay. The room (basic double bed) was small but very clean and had everything we needed. You can get fresh towels daily if you want to. The breakfast (toast, coffee, butter, jam, juice, muesli) was simple but enough and we enjoyed the view over Seoul from the roof terrace where the common area / kitchen is. There you can also get hot water but there's no equipment for cooking except a microwave. The location is pretty great: three minutes to the subway (line 1) which basically brings you everywhere (and it's cheap) or you can even walk to some of the main tourist attractions like some of the five palaces. Also the staff was very very nice (all of them) and made us feel very comfortable. They gave us good recommendations as well and we even got a little present in the beginning and end of our stay :)

IrelandThe hostel is situated in a not so appealing alleyway and doesn't have the nicest view from the balcony. Nevertheless, it is still central and safe. Naver Maps has the hostel listed as “에어호스텔 동대문” “Air Hostel Dongdaemun”, rather than as OYO. You will also see “Air Hostel” written inside the hostel. This may be a little confusing at first when using Naver, however, writing in the above name should yield the correct location. The hostel did not appear to have any lifts, so it may not suitable for anyone suffering from mobility impairments that prevent them from using stairs.
Cosy hostel situated centrally within Seoul, just a short walk away from numerous public transport stations and restaurants. The staff are the best I have ever seen in any hotel/hostel I have stayed in so far. From the moment we stepped foot inside, we were greeted with warm smiles, a very pleasant demeanour in all of our interactions, and super helpful advice in all of our queries. We also got a welcome treat, as well as goodbye treats. Genuinely I cannot emphasise enough how amazing of the stay the staff made it for us. If they are reading this then thank you so much for making our stay so much more pleasant than it would’ve been without you <3 For other things, the hostel offers compact rooms with working AC and a bathroom; breakfast between 08:00 - 11:00 where slices of bread and access to a toaster, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, and water are provided along with plates, bowls, spoons, forks, knives, and chopsticks; and a (usually) same day laundry service for 10,000won per basket. To clarify on the laundry, it is entirely optional, however, it was super handy for us to avail of considering that Korea gets very hot in the summer months, thus we end up very sweaty and need to change clothes daily. Both times we used it we got our baskets back on the same day with freshly cleaned clothes. Would highly recommend availing of the service if you'll be staying for long. On the note of breakfast, guests are expected to clean up after themselves and wash their dishes in the sink provided in the breakfast lounge area on the top floor. Everyone was very good for this, so you should be too! There is space and food availability all throughout the breakfast period so don't feel rushed to make it in for bang on 8 o'clock, however, I would recommend having breakfast at least before 10 o'clock as most dishes will have been used by then and you'll have to use one of the recently cleaned ones.
