Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MalaysiaThere was no daily room cleaning service, only once per 4 days. The washroom had no lock so the door had to be kept open at all times. Room was quite narrow and packed. Not much space for luggage.
Central and good location. Surroundings were quite lively with easy access to the touristy Myeongdong street. It was right next to Olive Young and opposite of CU mart which was quite convenient. The free breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

United StatesSince it’s in the center of a popular area, you should expect some trashy individuals as guests, if you are lucky enough to not have one in your room, everything else is perfect.
It’s probably the best location, but also makes it a bit inconvenient if you’re traveling super loaded, since it’s in the center of a super crowded area. Staff are friendly. You literally have to walk nothing when going out to start sightseeing

United StatesRooms are really small. There were few hooks on the walls but I wished to have more. Nothing to hang towels. We were a family of 4 adults. I kind of regretted staying there, but for the value we paid and the amount of time we stayed in the room, it was OK.
Location is perfect. Super easy to find. Restaurants around, Olive Young around the corner.

PhilippinesThe location just perfect. It is in the middle of Myeongdong, with that, everything is a stones throw away. The room is clean and quiet. As a female solo traveler on a budget, I appreciate this a lot. The breakfast is a bonus, I did not expect much but there are options to choose from. I would also like to commend the staff, they are very friendly and helpful.

Hong KongImpossible not to wet the toilet when taking a shower due to the design of the bathroom, and it'd take forever for the bathroom to dry up.

United StatesHotel was not so hard to find but it is mixed in a building with other business so just pay attention. The shower door did not close properly so the water kept splashing outside the bathroom. Someone was drinking coffee during breakfast hours and using his laptop in the common space and a staff told him that he cannot use it until after breakfast hours but the next day someone else was on their laptop during breakfast hours and the same staff did not say anything. The staff was not fair.
This hotel is center of a busy street food. Excellent choice for location and near train stations. there are 3 olive young stores within 3 minutes walking and endless food options. Room was very clean. Staff were amazing at checking us in. Breakfast, love that it ends at 10 rather than typical hotels that end at 9. Food was plain western food (toast, peanut butter, spam, cereal, coffee, orange juice, milk) but you do need to wash your own dishes after you are done. The common space where you eat is very lively and many people hang out there in the afternoon, really easy to make friends.

MalaysiaExtremely hot room even during winter. We opened the windows for the whole day but the room was weirdly boiling hot regardless. Central air-conditioning was not helping as well. Staff kindly provided mini usb fan.
Excellent location, very central of Myeongdong and Myeongdong night market is right outside your footstep. Has CU convenience store and duty free shopping store right opposite too. Provided room slippers. Very friendly and helpful staff.

NetherlandsThe room was very small and no ventilation, therefore it always stank. I was unlucky to have a very loud snorer in my room, which made sleeping difficult. There is also no atmosphere for backpackers, which was very unfortunate and I really expected them to have a great atmosphere according to their high rating. However, no one was really looking to be social.
The location is perfect, in the middle of Myeongdong. The breakfast was included, which is nice. And the options were OK. Free coffee the whole day was very nice. Everything is clean as well. mattresses were oK

South KoreaThe room was clean and the location is very well situated in the heart of Myeongdeong making shopping convenient. It was also not that far from the airport bus stop so even if I carried big luggages, it seemed easy.

United States- Bathrooms could have been cleaned more often. Bins in the bathroom were rarely emptied, so the contents spilled on to the floor. - More flexibility with breakfast would be appreciated as they don't offer take away if you leave before breakfast hours - It took me a while to find the place as it's in a large building set back from the street. There is a sign on the building, but a sign on the street itself may be helpful.
- Excellent location within walking distance of some sights and the metro - Friendly staff who responded quickly with helpful answers to questions - Great WiFi in each room and free water / tea available all day - Rooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water in the shower
