Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeDo not expect a big room, given the price will be good for one room for solo traveller.
Location.. there is Myeongdong exit 9 right in front. Very affordable for budget travellers who do not want to stay in dorm. Clean room and area. Toilet comes with tub. Security ok with card access only. Water points on every level, which means savings on buying water.

SingaporeThere was a lack of power sockets and adaptors provided by the hotel were also wonky. Had to ask several times before we were able to find a usable one. The aircon was a little faulty and made noises throughout the night. nonetheless the hotel offered to change our room to make up for it.
Great location as it is situation right outside myeongdong station exit 9. Makes it easy to travel to places around Seoul and also out of Seoul. Room and towels provided were clean, we were happy with the housekeeping service.

(It does not have elevator or electric stairs so if you have a lot of luggage look for alternative exists in Myeong-dong station). Facilities in the bathroom were products with great quality.

United KingdomI hate being negative about hotels, as I know they all try their best in a cut-throat market - especially in this area of Seoul. However, in this case I feel it's warranted. I can only describe the double room I was in, so others may differ in layout. "Functional" is about the best way to describe it, but I could make an argument for "dangerous" too. There was one small picture on one wall as the sole decoration and a single, small window directly above the bed. So no inspiring views of the city. There were no tables or lamps next to the bed, and no way control the lights other than the main panel by the doorway, so get familiar with the layout of the room as navigation in darkness is needed. The air conditioning unit seemed to function solely as a method of noise production. Despite repeated attempts to set a comfortable temperature in the room it stubbornly refused to cooperate and maintained an ambient temperature of "just cold enough to be irritating". However, the single biggest issue I had came by way of the heavy duty carabiner above the bed. Initially this did make me wonder exactly what kind of hotel I'd booked into, but apparently this is used in conjunction with a rope in the wardrobe as a means to escape in case of emergency. So in the (hopefully) unlikely event of a fire raging around you, your method of egress is to tie a rope to a carabiner hanging from the ceiling, then tie the rope to yourself, climb onto the bed to then clamber out through the tiny window, and presumably abseil or climb out to safety. That's right. You're expected to escape a burning 9 storey building by descending down the outside on a rope. Whilst the breakfast is good, be prepared to fight for a seat. The hotel opens the restaurant area up to the public before the guests breakfast sitting is finished, especially on Mondays.
It's easy to get to from the airport. Take the A'rex from Incheon to Seoul Station - as of April 2025 it cost about 12,000 won and takes around an hour. It doesn't make any other stops so once you're aboard you can relax. Then from Seoul Station it's a quick two stops to Myeongdong Station. Leave from exit no. 10 and you're literally outside the hotel. As with most hotels in Myeongdong, the location is great. You're literally 30 seconds from the Myeongdong shopping area and all of the glorious street-food stalls, restaurants, fashion and beauty shops it offers. Cross the road through the subway underpass and you're a 10 minute walk to the Namsan Tower and just 2 minutes to the magnificent ArtMonster bar. Walk 10 minutes towards Hoehyeon and you're in the sprawling street market. To the hotel itself: the breakfast is very good, whether it's included in your stay or you pay on the morning. There's a nice range of traditional Korean options like soups, bibimbap, and fruits as well as Western style bacon and eggs, cereals, and toast. Then there's the Ramen Bar. If you've watched Korean dramas or seen travel guides and wanted to try instant ramen made properly, then you're in for a treat. Dozens of different flavours are available, along with a variety of vegetables and garnishes to add for the authentic touch. Just pick one of the shelf, take it to the counter, and it's prepared for you whilst you listen to the latest K-pop. Well worth the experience.

France- The window couldn’t be opened. I’m not sure if that’s common in Korea, but we would have liked some fresh air in the room. - The Wi-Fi didn’t work on our last day at the hotel. Still, overall, it was a great experience!
Out of the three places we stayed during our 10-day trip in Seoul, this was the best one. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was cleaned every day, which we really appreciated. The location is excellent - close to many restaurants, metro stations, and sightseeing spots. Myeongdong may be known as a touristy area, but in my opinion, it’s the best place to stay when visiting Seoul. It’s super convenient and lively.

SingaporeOur room windows were facing a wall as we were on the lower level - not a huge issue honestly but might matter to some
Excellent location - central and easily accessible. The airport coach stop is about 100m from the hotel, and Myeongdong metro station is right in front of the hotel. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. We actually stayed in this hotel on two separate occasions during our trip and the staff allowed us to leave one of our luggages there when we went to Jeju in between as we didn't want to bring all our luggage with us - this helped save us time and money on a luggage storage facility. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Seoul in the future.

Location is perfect !! For the part of 3, there is additional Shower room besides the usual bathroom that has toilet and tub. Right at the station exit, with other exits that have escalators or elevators to choose from. Shopping and night market just in front of, right and back of hotel! Great bakery 50m away for breakfast , famous porridge with long queue just next to hotel , and k-ramyon on the other side of hotel. Convenient to travel to many main attractions .
