We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandWell located but facilities are strict minimum. Very hot water in the shower so that’s good in winter. Main problem: smell mold (common problem everywhere in Séoul) and not the most cleaned hostel. Otherwise it’s decent if you’re on a low budget. Location again is very convinient

AustraliaThe place is pretty run down. A bit of a freshen up would go a long way with some fresh paint and a deep clean of the bathrooms. The pillows and mattresses seem quite old and thin.
Location is great, close to restaurants, cafes, bars and public transport! The Friday night BBQ is a great way to meet others in the hostel. Staff were helpful with questions, and the man I think was the owner is lovely!

GermanyThe street around it has a certain smell. There should be at least some type of curtain or something for a bit more privacy in the beds. Could be a bit more modern, getting the power outlets to work isn't easy since they barely hold the plug. I think only the female rooms had their own door lock.
Even on the first floor you can't really hear the people downstairs in the lobby. Still would recommend earplugs so you don't wake up when someone enters the room. There are lockers for 1000 won which is a fair price I think. The staff was pretty helpful and nice and the people staying there too.

United StatesThere isn't really much keeping your door closed and secured while you are in the room, which was unsettling since you're pretty vulnerable while sleeping or utilizing the bathroom
The bed was firm, which is what I like.

TurkeyThe rooms are very cold depending on the weather. The room is only heated from the floor but it is not enough to heat the room in winter. Room floor and bathroom are clean but windows and sides are full of dust.
Staff were really helpfull with everything. They gave us really good advise about where to visit, transportation and the timetables. Location is really convenient and nearby lots of cafe, restaurants, bars and metro.

United Arab EmiratesThe most annoying part for me was that although this is a PARTY hostel, they don’t allow you to bring your own drinks even though they don’t have a common area? So you’d have to hang out at their reception bar in order to drink with the people you meet.. But onto the quality of life things: - Bathroom had a lot of mildew, I had to hold my breath to get ready. - There’s only 3 bathrooms for about like 7 rooms so busy times you’d have to queue/wait. - Bunk placement was very awkward so everybody’s suitcases were on the floor, and bunks didn’t have curtains. - You can’t use your own lock you have to rent the key and locker from the reception. - Outlets were very old and kept falling off (it took me about 5-10mins before bed every night to adjust my plugs intricately so that they won’t fall out as I slept). - No common area for people to socialize in.
- Central location, very close to lots of cafes, party spots, multiple Olive Young’s..etc! - Staff were nice, they watched over my Nintendo Switch as I left it to charge before leaving to the airport. - Met a lot of cool travelers!

FinlandThe building seems a bit old so for example bathroom facilities are not the most comfortable. The biggest minus is I was staying in the female dorm and unfortunately the locking system would beep very loudly every time somebody left and entered the room so I woke up a few times because of this. Other dorms are probably a better choice as they didn't have this locking mechanism (they don't have locks at all)
My stay at the hostel was good, the location is perfect, in one of the main party districts with lots of nice bars and restaurants around the corner. The hostel is clean and the staff friendly.

AustriaBed sheets not really clean, Bathroom okay if you are used to camping-like standards. Can be a bit noisy at night, but okay, it is literally a party hostel (it says so in the name) so you know what to expect :)
Good location, affordable price, surely great to meet people.

AustraliaUnfortunately I found this hostel to be quite unorganised, there were no curtains on the beds so you have no privacy and you can’t use the lockers for free so people just left their stuff everywhere in the room. The bunk beds were also creaky and poor quality. Also there are no locks on the door and you don’t get a key card, so anyone who knows the code, or can otherwise open the main door, can also enter the hostel rooms which makes people feel unsafe about their belongings. Other people I talked to at the hostel said they were surprised this place had such good reviews. The hostel bar was dark and small. I am sure you could find a better hostel in Seoul with a great location and people who are just as nice - just my personal opinion!
Great location! The staff and people staying here were all super friendly and really helpful. They offer towels for free for your stay too which is awesome.

United KingdomFelt very unwelcomed when we arrived and each night we were there the staff were taking up most the common room and not being inclusive with the guests. Sink kept blocking and toilets/shower room pretty unclean and not enough for the number of guests.

AustraliaI gave this hostel a 'pleasant' score because it was a lot of fun but the property itself was fairly dirty and seemed unkempt. Also, I was not given a bed in a bunk-bed but a cot in the middle of the room.
the location was great and the social atmosphere was the best I've experienced across 6 weeks of travel in Japan and Korea

IrelandOn the top bunk of the bed, it moved and made noise when I turned over. The ladders are narrow. The room was very bright. Shower is in the toilet so floor can be quite wet.
There was a Korean BBQ organised on the Friday. Walking distance from clubs in Hongdae and near a metro station. No key required just codes.

AustraliaFacilities need to be, and should be renovated, cleaned more regularly. The pricing for the privates honestly were way too high considering what we received - however, it wasn't so bad. The hostel itself was fine!
Camille was excellent and the hostel itself was fine. The privates were wayyy overpriced and honestly a bit dirty. I'm a pretty relaxed traveller and had my fairshare of hostels but unfortunately the hostel was a little dirty - feel like they are in desperate need of a renovation. This is quiet time so little atmosphere but thats to be expected and wasn't bad.
