Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Statescurtains let all the light in, bedsheets were scratchy, some of the bedrooms didn’t seem to have codes to enter so anyone could go in?? (someone had cash stolen out of their locker while i was there), bathroom (floors especially) were really really dirty, hair drier was the cheapest thing ever - my hair got caught in it and that’s never happened before, they don’t let you use your own locks for the locker but still charge you 1000 won (not including the 10k deposit that you get back when you return their key)
location was okay

United KingdomThere were no locks on the door, and multiple men who weren't staying in my room came in during the night. As a single female traveller, I would not advise staying here. I booked 4 nights and left after 1. The bathrooms were also unclean and had bits of wet toilet paper all over them. The door to my room also made the loudest noise anytime anyone opened it, and there were electrical plug sockets hanging out of the wall near my head where I was meant to sleep, which made me nervous if anything was to catch fire. I've stayed in hostels all over Europe and never had a problem. I was also told that no refund was possible even though I wasn't staying all 4 nights booked.
Other than the location, I don't really have anything to say here. The overarching feeling of being unsafe definitely shaded my whole experience.

IsraelThe vibes were great, the fellow time travellers knew whats up and were super fun to be with. Hostel nurtures good vibes and friendliness. I had no real issue with the bed, the room, the showers or restroom, but it's not well suited for the pampered.

South KoreaThis hostel served it's purpose as a hostel. It was clean, the beds were comfy and overall the experience was good. The staff accidentally charged me twice and immediately rectified the mistake. The atmosphere was great, I was only staying for one night as I was in Seoul to get a new tattoo so I didn't experience the party aspect of the hostel but there was a party going on downstairs. Even with everyone drinking together I was able to get a great night's sleep. I really enjoyed my stay. Would stay here again.

United Kingdomnothing! I have been back in England for three days now, after spending two weeks at ttp all I can say is that I truly miss it
Ttp is a decent property, obviously it’s the cheapest hostel in Seoul so you are getting what you pay for! but there was nothing seriously wrong with the property!! additionally, the staff at ttp are what made my two weeks in Seoul so amazing! Vita, Emma and Cami have become like a second family to me! They are so kind, caring and funny. I love you guys to bits and I’ll see you in six months!

FranceThe rooms are really badly equipped, no towels/shampoo/body wash furnished, no lock on the bedroom door, no curtains on the bunk beds (a minimum of privacy wouldn't be bad), overall the place is clean but not sanitary/safe (uncovered plugs in the shower, electric cables running around, humidity smell..)
Staff was very nice, location is great. Price is cheap!

South KoreaWhen I booked for one night, I was shown 23,500 Korean won. But when I arrived at the guest house, they demanded 28,500 won from me. That is 5,000 won more expensive. For 28,500 won, they put me in the CORRIDOR B 6 bed. In the Corridor in the truest sense of the word, on the 1st floor there are several rooms with a door, but I slept in a corridor where there is no heating, it was very cold, there was a toilet, a shower and a staircase to the 2nd floor near my bed, as well as the main entrance, for the whole night , I heard everything and everyone who goes to the toilet, who takes a shower, who goes outside, everything was heard, it's so insulting, paying 28,500 won, I lived like a homeless person in the hallway. It was very cold, the bed linen smelled terrible, they had not noticeably changed since the opening day! I actually for this money, I could go to a regular sauna! I know the sauna is cleaner and quieter than in This Madhouse. There is no shelf in the shower room to put shampoo and hygiene products. Shampoo, lotion on the floor, so dirty. The administrator did not give me a towel, I had to go down to her bar to ask for towels, at the expense of a hair dryer, the same thing, I asked for a hair dryer, she looked for a long time and gave me a hair dryer, but there is no room where you can sit down and dry your hair. Booking.com I complain about this hostel! I hate to pay even $5!

MalaysiaAs they only provide one bathroom/toilet per floor (they're only two floors and each floor has like three rooms and each room has up to eight people) we need to queue up abit. But it's not a big deal since it's autumn and the temperature is cold so people don't use bathroom too often, and also most people only use this place to sleep and put their belongings so none of them actually stay here like for the whole day.
Really worth the price, although we need to share rooms with nugus (stranger) but it's good tho. The owner is nice and helpful. The toilet and bathroom is big and clean. They also provided washing machine and locker here. Also, it's really near with the Hongdae-Ipgu (Hongik Nat. University) Subway Station. Might staying here again in the future if I'm planning to go to Seoul. For solo travelers/tourist I really recommend this place. btw sorry because I didn't take any pictures here.

GermanyIt was absolutely not what the pictures show. everything was dirty and the “mixed room” is a section of the main floor that is separated by an old, smelly curtain. The staff, even though we were there to check out at 11 as it was said in the rules, was not there. No one was present and we waited for an hour to be checked out and return the key to get the deposit. Also the AC didn’t work.
