Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ThailandAlthough the buffet breakfasts were good, if the same place was used for lunch and dinner, the service was incredibly slow. Orders were forgotten, food took over an hour, and bills were wrongly charged. Also, hotel a distance from city centre so be prepared for high transport bills although there is a free hotel service to night market together with free pick up...
The room was amazing with friendly and helpful staff who was always willing to go the extra mile.

AustraliaI used the pool, but wished it had been heated. The breakfast at the adjacent hotel restaurant let the hotel standards down.
We chose the hotel because it was located close to the Vientiane Marathon course in which my partner competed. The staff went above and beyond to help him pick up his race pack the day before the race - providing the hotel car and driver to take him to the pick up location. They helped with a massage booking post event & transported us to a restaurant in another part of the city. The property itself is imposing, spotlessly clean, comfortable, with an incredible pool area and charming smiles from every staff member encountered throughout the hotel. We were suprised beyond measure.

NetherlandsI would recommend adding (more) fruits to the breakfast buffet and setting up a few sitting places outside for tourists who enjoy the sun.
Hotels tend to look like each other a lot in Laos, but this one truly stands out with its beautiful architecture and lovely decoration. It's very special and enchanting. It is situated in a lovely authentic part of town walking distance from the That Luang. It was incredibly quiet and the room was extremely comfortable. It was very spacious, with plenty of amenities and great beds.

New ZealandIt was very hard to communicate, hotel was a bit run down. No coffee pod’s or mini bar although sign in room indicated there would be. Advertised shuttle to night market but was told no driver available.
The hotel had comfortable beds, a nice pool area and an easy check in service.

ItalyNobody spoke English at the reception, there was no instruction about the hotel, how to use the pool, if the gym was open, what time to do check out.
The room was beautiful and big, the bed comfortable, breakfast was rich. Laundry was excellent, super fast, I gave my things in the evening and they turn back the morning after.

United StatesHotel location was NOT good. Pha That Luang was a short walk away. However, travel to all other sites without a private vehicle proved problematic. Transportation (taxi, tuk-tuk, etc.) was not readily available. Be prepared to wait an hour or more for your ride to arrive. Despite what is stated by multiple sites--including the hotel's own website--there is NO free airport shuttle.

United Arab EmiratesWe had the most horrifying experience and we are currently having a nightmare at Le Thatluang boutique hotel in the capital of Laos. 1. WIFI PROBLEMS. On the first day, before checking in, I asked them to fix an issue with wifi. They were laughing at us. We had to argue with them for 1 hour before they fixed it. And it’s still very slow. It was the first red flag.. but we were hoping that everything will be fine.. 2. WRONG ROOM THAT LOOKS LIKE A JAIL. After that, they put us into the wrong room which looked nothing like the booking.com images. The room was dark, smelly and had a view of the walls. Like in prison. We have a video proof, which we are kindly ready to send for showing the differences between reality and what we had paid for. After half an hour of argument, they moved us to the correct room. The hotel staff was trying to make us feel foolish for our money. And we didn't feel safe and secure while having such a wonderful period for our honeymoon. 3. POISONING US CAUSING AN ALLERGY. Shortly after checking into the hotel. We ordered food and told them to exclude certain allergy causing items. We told them to write down all the specifications. They gave us food WITH EXACTLY THE ITEMS we told them NOT to include. As a result, my girlfriend had food poisoning and allergies due to this. She had explosive diarrhea and nausea for days. 4. REJECTING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SUPPORT. After 2 days of sickness, we called reception and asked them to provide pills for nausea and diarrhea. As a 5 star hotel, they are required to keep emergency pills OR a nurse. They told us that they don’t have any pills at all and they will not help us. We asked them to please go to the nearest pharmacy to bring pills for us. They declined saying they can’t go. Without any reason. It is not lawful to decline medicine to guests. Especially after poisoning us!
