Hot water wasn't always running, and the taxi that was recommended by the hotel was overcharging us we didn't know until another driver was recommended to us and his price was always less than half the other taxi took. He charged per person and the other taxi took a flat rate for the trip. The place needs to be updated

The cat in the accommodation was scary. It followed us all the time and it was hard to get rid of it, even outside.

The apartment was very clean, the check-in was flexible and the panoramic view over Castries was amazing!

It's a bit further from downtown which requires a 10 min walk. This does keep the place quieter than downtown imo.

The owner was very friendly and went out of his way to accomodate an unexpected late arrival. The hotel has a great view of the harbour and is very close to the island ferry terminal (I came in from Guadeloupe).

the property is slightly unusual. possibly go as far to say quirky? for example the location is really good coming off or going onto the ferry. this has to be the nearest place so great location but because it’s near to the port the immediate area is not great. another example; the rooms are quite basic and functional, not the best windows outlook etc, But the main lounge and balcony has the same view of Castries Harbour as Government House, arguably better so swings and roundabouts. You have to appreciate it for what it is.

Excellent location as within walking distance to ferry terminal. It enabled us to see that our ferry had not arrived and had been cancelled before we checked out. We stayed another night and took the ferry the following morning. Lovely large balconies to sit on. Very helpful host.

I can’t say that I actually disliked anything. It’s just old but it’s clean, safe and was great for what we needed.

We stayed here because of the proximity to the Ferry Port. It could not be nearer and is so convenient. The property is basic but it was only for one night and served all of our needs. I actually tried to rebook this place because my Son decided to stay on and wanted to do an extra week in Martinique. Unfortunately, it was fully booked. The owner is extremely helpful and very friendly but is not in your face or over bearing, just a very nice guy who will look after you and tell you all you need to know. Other guests also seemed happy.

Nothing really, you have to adapt to the realities of the island.

The property is located just opposite the ferry terminal (a 5-7 minute walk), which is very handy when you have to travel very early in the morning. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and a nice breeze came from the sea. Castries's town centre is short walk too, and you can find a variety of shops and restaurants. It is very well situated as I managed to do all my excursions from the site. The property manager, Cletus, was absolutely lovely. Very responsive and happy to help, we had interesting conversations and he even offered me some delicious mangoes from his garden! :)

This place is very tired and rundown. As others have said the neighborhood does not look very nice even though it may be safe. Stains on counters. AC did not work. Door lock did not work (I got it to lock once and then never again). To be fair, it was late when I discovered both of those issues and did not contact the host. Also note when host quotes 15 dollars for a sandwich, he means 15 US dollars not Caribbean dollars (but as I said we were stuck on Sunday night). Some stairs - no issue for us but might be for others. 3 parking spots.

Chose it for being close to ferry and it was if you can manage the steep hill. View off the balcony was excellent. Host did tell us nothing was open when we got there Sunday evening and was able to make us some sandwiches.

The bed was not comfortable and there was only one tap for the shower which was cold

The location was excellent for catching the very early am ferry from the ferry terminal - 5 min cab ride down the hill. The host was very kind and accommodating. There was a mini fridge and table and chairs in the room which was great. Nice view from the balcony. Room was clean and well kept.

The shower was barely functioning, with barely a trickle of water. There were very few options for dinner and we ended up having to get a sandwich directly from our host, which ended up being $15 per person.

A short walk from the ferry terminal , which was very convenient to catch the early morning ferry to Martinique. A/C was nice.

They list their rooms as Deluxe and put pictures of the entire property with every room, which made us expect more. The cheaper rooms however come with shared bathroom and shared kitchen (that you had to pay extra for?), so pay attention when booking! We would have overseen this if it wasnt for the terrible bed and poor shower. Place was clean though and location was great.
