Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThere was no wifi in first room. They changed me and it was ok. Rooms are old, old bathrooms. Breakfast is not good, no choices and empty most of the time. There is nothing to do really except for excursions. Beach is very small and nothing fancy.
Beautiful view. Ferry runs very frequently which is very nice.

United Statesnot enough fresh towels and washclothes as requested. Maybe once every 3rd day provide. water did go out twice while there but it wasn’t an issue for me since I kept logs of bottled water on hand for emergencies however other guests were not so lucky. If I bring a group back as a travel advisor and personal guide, I have some recommendations to make improve the resort experience. I left a list of things the office needs to have maintenance repair for #53 (shower blinds need replacing or curtains for privacy, jagged edge shower drain cut my foot. the safe didn’t lock at all) I’d suggest a small microwave for guests to reheat any leftovers. Paper towels or a dish cloth in the kitchen. Again loved the mini kitchen which was a main reason and location plus the spa to book the resort.
the Beach side room was so amazing and AC worked so well cooling the room to sleep comfortably at night. The bed was so comfortable. Great size fridge w/ freezer. Private and only guests allowed on ferry and beach property and chairs. Security was checking.

GreeceOnly part of the small beach belongs to the hotel, rest of it you have to pay overpriced loungers and drinks at and be pestered to order more. It’s a nightmare when there’s people from cruise ships visiting. Conversion rates they use if you want to pay in US or Euro vary depending on who happens to be at the front desk and any service is way overpriced.
The location but that’s because Marigot bay itself is breathtaking. The resort itself needs renovation, maintenance and to keep the beach cleaner. The boat rides to the dock are very frequent and convenient.

United StatesMost of the staff was not very friendly with a few exceptions. We booked dinner on the wrong night due to a date mix up and they would not let us use it on another night so that was disappointing. FYI to be careful when booking to ask where the room is located based on your ability. Some rooms are very high on the hill and could be a very difficult and long walk to get there with lots of stairs.
It was beautiful, restaurant and spa on site for convenience and a free ferry. The room also had a/c which was hard to find.

SwedenWater was not available all the time from the taps. I was full of soap when it stopped coming. The kitchen was not fully equipped and no gas for the cooker. The slope just outside the one glassed bedroom window was full of very loud crickets making it difficult to sleep.
The location is beautiful.

United KingdomOverall, very run down. Which wouldn’t matter so much if they made the most of what they had. But the restaurant and facilities aren’t managed or looked after that well at all. Restaurant - some of the food is amazing! And feels like good value. Other parts (most) of the menu are overpriced and you’d get better at Wetherspoons. I paid $40 for a steak on a hot stone. No hot stone, over cooked and very bad quality. I was charged incorrectly a number of times and the staff don’t really know what’s going on in general. Our food took 2 hours to come out. Gym - AC unit doesn’t work, no one has been in there to clean or maintain it in probably 20 years! Pool tables - one of 4 working. The small shops which are part of the resort are all closed. Perhaps covid related and they just never returned, but the Dive shop/company also isn’t thee anymore - we were told the resort was asking too much money for the rent so they are now stand alone a little further into the bay. So don’t expect a ‘dive resort’ if that’s why you’re booking. It isn’t anymore!
We stayed in a few places on the west side of the island during our 10 day trip. We stayed at Marigot beach resort for 4 nights. The location is beautiful and the rooms are big with fantastic views. The little beach area is gorgeous and taking a boat (provided by the hotel) to and from one side of the bay to the other is unique. The people in Marigot bay are all lovely.

United KingdomOur shower broke and the pressure were weak however it was repaired as well as they could and a new pump was installed. The shower unit needs replacement with a cheap simple unit as it was really ancient. The kitchen has a bottled gas cooker, also ancient and the controls have no markings. We never got the oven working. We never trusted it. Cooking may be academic as shops are miles away if you need supplies.
Marigot Beach Club is old school West Indies and none the worst for this. Our two studios were clean and the air conditioning was excellent. The terraces in front of the studios were quite big and safe for small children and the swimming pool made up for not really having a proper beach. It does however have a raised quay-like sandy place by the water and another area with sun loungers on decking over the water. Fish come up the the restaurant wall Including a barracuda on our last day there. The quaintness and views sells this place. It is pretty unique. I would recommend getting a fast local boat from the jetty to take you down the coast to the Pitons. There is a great beach there and an expensive hotel with a reasonable restaurant. I think the office can arrange the boat and the boatman was good, although it is not cheap.

United StatesTiny pool. Tiny TV in room. The restaurant is very pricey and not that great. Good thing there are other options! The nearby beach is very dodgy - you will be harassed by drug dealers. The little private beach is a much better alternative. We didn't have water the first evening/night. Tried to contact the office but they close early so there was no one to help. It was sorted out promptly when we contacted the office the next morning. Our toilet tank didn't autofill - we had to remove the cover and push/pull the water level adjustment rod manually to fill the tank & then stop the flow. Beach/pool towels were never readily available - didn't see one, not even once. Had to wait, go back and check to hunt one down. The reception lady could have been friendlier and more welcoming.
Beautiful location and grounds! Convenient if you want to jump in the bay and snorkel a bit. Gear rental is available onsite. Getting the ferry to the hotel was interesting and not too inconvenient, it was pretty frequent. Some great restaurants nearby as well. We booked a Grand Studio (free upgrade via booking.com) - the room was spacious and had a nice veranda with a view, we loved just sitting out there, enjoying the warm evenings. The bathroom was nice as well, although the toilet was broken. Overall a great experience for a few days if you can get a deal.
