We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe only downside was there was no bar or restaurant. You really need a car if you’re staying there and there are many other great places to eat or sit and have a relaxing drink.
the units were immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The little kitchen had everything we needed. The best part was the gorgeous view and the tropical sounds of the tree frogs at night.

United KingdomThe accommodation was lovely, amazing view of the Pitons from the balcony. Very relaxing environment surrounded by tropical rainforests. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would recommend visiting the Treehouse restaurant (make a reservation). Definitely worth renting a car!

United KingdomWe loved how secluded it is, but you do need to forward plan taxis into town (only a 5 minute drive) and meals which can be a bit of a pain when you want to relax and not think about planning.
The view from the bedrooms is utterly incredible. It’s a beautiful quiet place to stay, really comfortable beds and small enough that it feels private and intimate. The kitchenette in the rooms is a real bonus given the location away from the town.

Switzerland- Although there’s a large bar area, it is not in service and partly destroyed. no restaurant or bar, but a shop that sells dried mac & cheese and canned sausages. Horrible. - Pool area feels very crammed - No safe in the room - The breakfast is complicated: you need to prebook a specific time slot. - No real help from the reception, who seemed upset that we asked question. - The road leading to the hotel is horrible.
The location, with the view on Soufriere and the Piton, is amazing. The room and facilities were very clean.

United KingdomReally difficult to find, road into the property is a bumpy track. Poor facilities, although you can order breakfast the choice is limited and nit very appealing. There was a bar area with again great views although it was closed (would of been nice for an evening drink) Shower was barely warm on a morning better in the evening. We had a car so we’re ok, but there is nothing around and not a safe walk to town.
Incredible view from our room of the Pitons and Soufriere

United KingdomThe road coming up to Samfi gardens, I'm sorry but it is absolutely terrible. Anyone with a rental car would be worried. It wasn't really clear how the housekeeping works as some days will have our sign up for the flat to be cleaned but it wasn't and also about the breakfast option we heard 3 options of when is open for the customers to use. All little things that can be altered quickly. Nevertheless if i were to go back to St.Lucia i would go back there because the pool and the apartment were incredible.
The facilities were great! The apartment was great and the swimming pool. Reception was lovely as well.

Saudi ArabiaNo breakfast included in the price although it is advertised as inclusive of breakfast. The location is great but you will need to rent a car to get to the closest city/town Sufriere or depend on expensive taxies. No food/refreshments available at the hotel after 5 pm so bring your own snacks, rooms have fridge!
Rooms are great, the hotel has a very nice view.

United KingdomWe went out each day, and pretty much each day, there were noisy pieces of garden equipment being used. Over the Easter weekend, it was constant until 7 pm one night. This was either a leaf blower, hedge trimmer, sawing of wood, etc The lights on the patio could have been brighter. A broom should come with the Accommodation as our patio was under a large tree, and the bits continually dropped from the tree. This was trodden in, however careful you were. Organisation of more car spaces would be good.
The accommodation served it's purpose. We went out doing something each day, a couple of times we cooked in. You needed a car to get to restaurants.

United KingdomThe access track from the main road is very rocky, pot-holed, uneven and hazardous. With some effort, holes could be filled, rocks removed and the track smoothed. Samfi Gardens is on a steep hill with many steps up and down from the parking, and steep slopes from the top of the access track. Unsuitable for people with mobility restrictions. The description does not mention any of the above. The kitchenette has very basic equipment, fine for quick snacks, noodles and tinned foods, but no grill or oven pans. Care should be taken with the oven, which makes the gas knobs extremely hot. I asked for an oven pan, which was not provided and was informed to purchase a foil dish from the Massi store! Managed a chicken roast, garlic bread and home made chicken soup, but adventurous cooking is not suitable. Bathroom sink plug broken and sink water pressure inadequate. Complained and was told that the pressure was tested to be normal, but it only tricked. Shower pressure great and kitchen sink pressure good. So expect complaints not to be dealt with. Bar area by lounging and viewing veranda, but only saw the bar open one evening while we were there. A 4x4 is recommended here, which we had, but many guests arrived by taxi and were surprised at the cost of taxis just to the town - $20 each way for 8 minute drive. Don't consider walking! 330m above the town.
The views are spectacular, and are the selling point of Samfi Gardens. We had the largest room (8) which was great with ample space and a full width unoverlooked balcony with unobscured views of the Pitons, sulphur springs, other mountains, Soufriere below and Soufriere Bay. The views from the bed are also spectacular. Good air-conditioning plus two ceiling fans and two French doors that can be opened to the veranda, providing fresh air and superb views. Restaurants, shops, town and beaches are less than 10 minutes drive away. Banana trees and coconut palms growing all around the balcony, but they do not obscure the views. Very tropical! Small but sufficient pool for a dip, with unobscured views of the Pitons, and a sun-deck with sun loungers and outdoor shower. Service is good. Further up the track is Treetops restaurant, which is superb and unique, but reservations are mandatory. Down to town and turn right along a 2mile unmade road to Anse Chastenet, for the best snorkelling in the area, and a great beach restaurant. WiFi worked well in the room, but not everywhere in the gardens. Security provided when staff are offsite. Breakfast options at extra cost, provided by the day staff via order form the day before (but didn't order any). Small onsite shop for essentials, 9-5pm, but Massi supermarket only 10 minutes away, which is open 7 days.

United KingdomIt’s a one star venue but with 4 star prices. Breakfast was overpriced and really low quality. The staff are not super friendly and are very very slow. There is zero signage to find the hotel and the road leading to the hotel itself requires a 4x4 as it’s very unsafe / steep and rocky terrain

United KingdomAll windows in the room had frosted glass in them so you couldn’t look out. As it rains a lot it would have been better to have a covered veranda so you could still sit outside. The road access to it was very poor.

United KingdomIt felt like the were trying to rip us off rather than help us. I asked to be collected from Soufrière ferry - a 7 minute drive - and they quoted $20. Their hotel guidebook quotes over inflated prices for taxis. We ordered breakfast one day which was very low quality - the fruit salad was small and had mango that was so hard it was inedible (the staff told us it’s because they were out of season, so why serve them?). Our air conditioning unit made some very loud bangs in the night and then stopped working - we had to be transferred to another room the next night (the security guard was kind and helpful). The whole place feels like it needs some investment to fix/repair broken appliances and bathrooms.
Incredible view overlooking the Pitons.

United StatesThe walls were paper thin and maintenance men could be heard working and loudly singing right outside of my room before 9:00 a.m. Fortunately, other guests were respectful and quiet, but if you were to have neighbors making even a reasonable amount of noise, you would have heard it all. There was no peephole to see out the door, and as the walls and doors were thin and the property was not staffed after 5:00 p.m., I did not feel safe as a solo traveler unfamiliar with the area. The room was not ready at the stated check-in time. There was no food available at the hotel or within the close area, a taxi would have been required to get food. A small "market" was provided that only offered bagged dry rice, canned Vienna sausages, canned corn and beans and a few small bags of junk food like Oreos. A tray of breakfast food was provided, but it was four pieces of dry white bread, two small apples, two dry pastries, and a small container of sugary yogurt. The driveway was extremely steep and difficult to navigate, even for my skilled and experienced taxi driver.
The view was amazing. The front desk agent was helpful and friendly. The air conditioning worked. The Wi-Fi signal was strong and reliable. Complimentary bottled water was provided. The kitchen was stocked with all necessary items to prepare your own food.

United KingdomNoise at night was dreadful! All the frogs and other wildlife wakes up in the evening and makes incredible noise all night long! There are no proper glass windows in the room or bathroom, just wooden shatters therefore you can hear everything like if you were outside. We were very sorry we had booked this place and despite the view, couldn't wait to leave. Lastly, I don't understand why they don't provide breakfast - they have lovely outside space for it which is unused.
The view was amazing and the room was clean but very small! Huge bed and huge chairs made it feel even smaller. There was just one tiny cupboard, so we had nowhere to put away our clothes. We had two suitcases (which I assume everyone does on holidays) and there was nowhere to put them! The place was very cramped and didn't feel comfortable. We spent as much time out as possible because we didn't like how small the room was.

United StatesA few additions and this place would take it from great to exceptionally amazing! More deck chairs needed by the pool than the standard half functioning one, a standard breakfast offered would be great- nothing major- eggs, toast, sausage and fruit (yes there are full kitchens in each room with coffee), a bar in the afternoons and some music playing by the pool would be a nice addition as well.
The view from the room is AMAZING!!!! Directly in front of the Pitons-loved waking up to the view every morning! This place is very quiet and relaxing if you're seeking to escape the city noise. It's better than pictured. It's not close to the Soufriere town so a car is needed or you can contact A1 service for taxi services that works directly with the hotel. I had the best driver- prompt, reliable and courteous. He took me to wherever I needed to go and when I was ready, I'd call him 30 minutes before my departure Durand +1 758-518-7699. He even recommended places to eat-Seashells restaurant great local food and not tourist priced a lot of the locals eat there as well!
